i like sleeping on my side but I have this thing called GERD which means twice in the last week I've woken up choking on regurgitated bits and having to clear my throat.

GERD sucks, I'm sorry. I don't have it as much as I used to for some reason, but I actually had a couple flare-ups this year. Total not fun to wake up to a throatful of hot bile.

I just didn't care about sleeping position until I broke two ribs a month ago and now dreaming about the magical day when I can sleep on my side again occupies a significant amount of my time.

I sleep on my left side most comfortably because (a.) it allows my descending colon to descend and not vice versa and (b) I dunno, my heart isn't as suspended as high like that.

Nonetheless, similar to Andy, I run into a huge empty patch on my left cheek whenever I try to grow a beard.

I used to be a side sleeper but a few years ago I started sleeping on my back, arms folded over my chest like a vampire. Don't know what - if anything in particular - sparked the change, but I find it very comfortable.

I fall asleep quicker on my back, but it invokes me to snore more (i think). I'm comfier on the side, and yeah will flip constantly.

Had GERD for a bit a few years ago. Same unpleasant late night near-vomit wake-ups and weird chest feelings that had me worried about heart troubles. Went away quickly once my doctor prescribed Dexilant.

I was very much a stomach sleeper, but obviously with a colostomy I can't really sleep on my stomach, so I've had to get used to sleeping on my side or back and I FUCKING HATE IT. I never had trouble sleeping until this, tbh— now it's a miracle if I make it through the night. I miss sleeping on my stomach so much.

Sex. It's just not as good as quadruple dropping MDMA on 10 tabs of lsd. No idea why people love it so much. you just make some silly noises like you're a strangled puppy and then its all over. Orgies I guess are more interesting because everyone sounds like strangled puppies, but that's why they should play Derek Bailey, Han dennunc and Peter Brotzmann at swinger parties.

I move around a lot in my sleep if I'm alone and wake up with the blankets strangling me or in a position that's fucking up my shoulder or neck so I've started sleeping on my couch 2/3 of the time. For whatever reason I sleep like a log on couches and don't move at all.
