Wow, Flushing is amazing.

Hmm I may need to make a flushing trip soon. It's been a while, and one of the things I found really cool about it was how dynamic it was -- changes all the time, new restaurants/vendors all the time.

Just made a trip to Flushing- to shop at Macy’s! - as part of pandemic dig out.

But really came to post that Brazilian music seems to be blowing up a bit at Terraza. It always had some presence but now more high level players are coming more often and there is going to be a monthly jam session which promises to bring in a lot of good music as well.

Where do people like to eat near MoMI these days?

We don’t eat at arepas cafe much anymore because arepas grill is less crowded and has parking but that’s solid. Astoria seafood down the st is supposed to be amazing.

Like Felix, I kept on walking, so I tried Ma’Ple after all. It’s fine and quite spicy, if a bit generic.

Astoria Seafood is fuckin' great. there was a greek place around there i used to love but that was fifteen years ago and it's likely gone now.

I had a whole crazy thing where I put money in the tip jar but then the "waiter" chased me down afterwards anyway, speaking of chaos. The owner than asked me what was going on and seemed to be annoyed at the guy.

Came to post that I like this place, even though I don't buy too many physical books anymore. Come to think if it, I remember the night of the event pictured, somehow I ended up the afterparty if not the event itself.

yeah, I used to live btw 68th ave and 67th drive, and 108th st ran behind my building (perpendicular to 68th ave/67th dr), followed by 110th and 112th. For some ways there was a pattern of ave/rd/drive (67th ave, 67th rd, 67th dr, 68th ave etc), but only until you got to the LIE in one direction or union turnpike in the other, then it completely changed. Oh and of course 108th was parallel to yellowstone, but then the next parallel st was 102nd, followed by 99th, followed by 98th, and these were all diagonal to queens blvd and some curved while others were straight so it was all kinds of fucked up.

Terazza now has karaoke seven days a week starting off somewhere between eleven and midnight. Can be fun if you get on the list early enough and/or don't need to get up in the morning.
