Hey kiddos! Hope all my fave ilxors are doing ok. Hope yuo all had a good Christmas. We found out 2 days before Christmas that someone has pulled out of our housing chain, so now I am not sure what will happen with the house. If it all falls through that is pretty much our chance of becoming houseowners gone.

Pinky, that's terrible - hope it doesn't prove to be the case.

I'm back in work today, which is okay I guess, though I'd rather be at home snuggling with muh honey. Especially as it is the most UGLY day outside - heavy rain and a biting cold wind. Welcome to 2004 (almost).

As ever, I'm away from the internet most of the day, so emails to mark at casar0tt0 dot uk dot com (replace 0s with os) very very very welcome, especially as I forgot to bring in any CDS :(

Hey Poops. I'm waiting for a grandmother to die at the moment (worst case scenario = 2 grandmothers on the way out) and it's not fun. My dad was very subdued all Christmas - all he can do is wait for the inevitable phone call. She's in Italy so he can't even be by her bedside. Anyway, sympathy and manly hugs from me too.

I have followed that plan to the letter! Last piece of work done - sorting out script binders and paperclips from the big mixed-up pile created by the end of year script recycling.

kenan, how does that sea salt compare to kosher salt? i use kosher, am curious abt sea.

Really no difference in taste... and really no difference at all. When cooking, salt melts. So while the grain is larger in sea salt, it makes no difference in the final product.

You'll enjoy it Pinky, I can assure you of that. The film (LOTR3) was surprisingly good - better than the other 2, I thought. And yes, I welled up a few times, though mainly cos of poor old Miranda Otto not gettin' any from Aragorn (did she cop off with Faromir at the end? They were standing next to each other). Also cos she's cute yet tragic. A winning combination.

Hi Kenan! Hi everyone...I keep starting to post and then just blinking at things and going back to just reading. I came back from my parents' yesterday after what was mostly a nice Christmas, though it wiped me out and now I feel like shit. It was great fun to spend time with my sister, we just get exhuberently silly together and laugh a lot and make fun of each other constantly. My dad's doing really well since his surgery though he has to rest a lot. He has a huge frankenstein incision down his neck. I suggested he grow a mullet. It would cover up the scar *and* be a great fashion statement for a very conservative 60something guy who works at a bank.

I don't know when I get to go home. Usually, like now. But I skipped lunch, because on Christmas Eve, I took my unpaid lunch and when I got back to my desk, the boss was like, "finish up what you're doing then go home" and if I had not taken my lunch break, I could split then.
So now I'm done all the work I could possibly do today, and must just look busy until they finally decide enough'z'enough or whatever.
