I occasionally see screencaps from his show on Twitter and have the same “how could anyone stand to watch this man for hours” reaction that I have with Tucker Carlson.

but back on the Chapo tip, just finished up Hell of Presidents and throughly enjoyed it. Pretty masterfully done IMO. Highly recommend, even if you don’t want to commit to the whole saga. You could probably hop in on the FDR ep or even JFK and get a lot out of it.

I watched Hasan Piker's twitch stream the other day and was completely dumbfounded as to how this dude has tens of thousands of viewers every stream

yeah the entire concept of twitch celebrities makes me want to turn inside out but i guess it's just lazier vlogging, which also made me feel 100 years old when i was 25

I've always wondered this myself, esp when it's a gaming streamer. Just the visual overload of playing a FPS and also somehow taking in even the occasional stray viewer comment kind of breaks my brain.

I suppose I also could have just posted "I am old and not afraid to admit so on the internet" instead, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It wasn’t worse than any of the Avengers or X-Men films, or most Spider-Man films. I can’t think of any recent DC film I’ve watched but I can’t imagine they’re vastly superior to Venom.

of all the superhero movies ive watched in the last few years (I intentionally watched about 5 or 6 a couple of xmases ago after eschewing them for years, and have watched a few since) venom was one of the better ones. although I don't remember that much of it

the Eminem song at the end was a highlight

I’m off Twitter again and I probably don’t really want to know but uh what’s the deal w Alice from Queens, other than MattY was really about it there (iirc)

I think BJG was somewhat relatable (?) in some surface ways, supporting things I supported, but after the primaries there was this entire deal where she’s in this space that isn’t pushing interesting ideas and isn’t funny

I think I listened to that podcast with her and Virgil, where he had no one to really counteract or riff against, and then he was gone for obvious reasons and not only was it not addressed in a clear way, she kind of got even less interesting

plus her takes on star trek were horrible. just terrible!
