We just lost another bandmate & legend, Mr. Alfred "Pee Wee" Ellis. He was a member of James Brown's band in the 60s, recording many of Brown's recordings "Cold Sweat", "Say It Loud ". He also worked with Van Morrison. A silent genius & brilliant arrangements.🙏Prayers to Family! pic.twitter.com/1AP7iVYbyq

RIP Peewee. He used to play monthly at a Bristol jazz club below my old flat, it was a real treat to hear him wailing through the floor.

Apparently he lived in Frome, of all places, latterly?

Neil S, Monday, 27 September 2021 12:15 (two years ago) link

Correct, he spent at least the last 15 years in the South West afaik and was a mentor to a few local jazzers.

Really sad to hear of the passing of Roger Hunt.

One of Liverpool's great goalscorers, a club legend and an absolute gentleman. Thoughts are with his family ❤️ pic.twitter.com/klUqExAgOY

Just your standard-issue British ghoul, complaining about "imbalance" that has led to a "disproportionate" focus on criminal inquiries involving former soldiers, on the 45h anniversary of Bloody Sunday.
