I don't even know what a thunderbolt port is so maybe I'm more of a pro guy -- or are you saying people need 64gb ram? (I am at 16 on my current mbp)

they have been very careful throughout to mention notebooks only. no mention of macs or mac pros. will be surprised if there's not an imac pro though.

thunderbolt is physically the same port as usb 3. the current m1 macs are limited by the chip (not laptop size) to two usb 3 ports. i personally don't care, but it's an ongoing complain. these new chips will hopefully raise that limit.

I don’t see why the notch is a big deal to people, the middle part of the menu bar is dead space anyway.

Then you will like the notch because it means the bit below the menu bar is 16:10 and more pixels than without the notch.

Basically you have the same screen space you had before, but you no longer lose a strip at the top to a menu bar.

You can make a case that it looks bad but you can’t make a case you’re losing “real estate” to it. The alternative is no notch and a smaller screen and a bigger bezel at the top.
