Which is all to say I get the campaign behind LeVar B. Only Mr. Rogers'es in key host roles from here on out imo.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar:
The ideal host for Jeopardy! should embody what the show means to its viewership: a passion for knowledge and a respect for a diverse community. Maybe the host would also reflect that diversity in order to show that it’s not just white males who can be the gatekeepers to these values. What’s especially shocking is that the producers of a show that is about knowledge demonstrated a substantial lack of awareness of recent cultural history and the coming of age our institutions — from government to the academy to entertainment — have been going through.

I had a dream the new host was Steve Harvey and that he'd stare down the contestants after every wrong answer. and he'd introduce the shows like "Welcome to Jeopardy, we got a good one for you today folks, it's Jeff, and Kate, and our returning champion, my man Marcus"

BREAKING: Mike Richards is OUT as Executive Producer of "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune"— Michael M. Grynbaum (@grynbaum) August 31, 2021
― papal hotwife (milo z), Tuesday, 31 August 2021 16:22 (four years ago)
Right wing game shows are an untapped marked. Jeopardy but all the answers are from Conservapedia.
― papal hotwife (milo z), Tuesday, 31 August 2021 16:23 (four years ago)
Picking any six of the "Popular articles at Conservapedia" list on their front page would make a truly horrifying and amusing jeopardy round.

It's really the entire industry.
John O'Hurley of Family Feud/Seinfeld fame is quite conservative.
Wink Martindale was an early Trump supporter, as was Bob Barker.
Drew Carey was a Ron Paul guy. etc

Some judged Mike Richards solely on his podcast comments and formed a negative opinion, but I judged him by the way he treated people backstage at Jeopardy and formed a much stronger negative opinion https://t.co/mebtz0Tgc3— James Holzhauer (@James_Holzhauer) September 1, 2021

I caught one episode of the show he works on, it’s not bad. Being the guy tasked with ruining peoples’ chances at a life-changing payday seems like a bummer though.
― papal hotwife (milo z), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 15:53 (four years ago)
Richards seems to be from a long line of people that can somehow navigate the corporate world falling upwards while being a total kiss ass to his managers and terrible to anyone around him that cannot help him out. That really seems to be one of the more successful ways to go it seems in any field.

I kind of love that his downfall was tied into him deciding the world needed a behind the scenes pod about The Price Is Right that would somehow go beyond subjects like the origin of Plinko.

what is it with the name Michael Richards jesus
― Duke Detain (Neanderthal), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 18:37 (four years ago)
The five episodes that Richards shot in his first and only day as “Jeopardy!” permanent host were scheduled to start off the new season on Sept. 13; as of now the plan is to air those episodes, even though he is no longer EP or host
these are gonna be strange
i also have to assume richards is gonna sue sony? tho i guess he still has an overall deal there whatever that exactly means, maybe they will throw a ton of $ at him to go away

matt amodio has surpassed james holzhauers’ streak in games won. although he’s only made about a third as much money in that time (800k v.s 2.4m)
― flopson, Tuesday, 21 September 2021 08:20 (four years ago)
& btw wouldve lost yesterday if his opponent knew roger rabbit
― johnny crunch, Tuesday, 21 September 2021 12:10 (four years ago)
Holzhauer won 32 games, Amodio is only at 23.
― Precious, Grace, Hill & Beard LTD. (C. Grisso/McCain), Tuesday, 21 September 2021 16:29 (four years ago)
Or 24, as stated at the top of today's ep.

It’s a shame he came on in this fucked up luminal time, I would otherwise be following closely
― When Young Sheldon began to rap (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 21 September 2021 17:43 (four years ago)
Unlike Holzhauer, Amodio rarely goes all-in on Final Jeopardy. I could see that he didn't know Who Framed Roger Rabbit? last night, because he stared straight ahead for a long time before writing down his answer. But I didn't think he'd lose, because he's been pretty conservative on Final. He sometimes goes all-in on Double Jeopardy questions, and once that put him in negative territory, but he's a much more conservative better than Holzhauer.
