Looks like Chuck E Weiss has passed.

Jazz drummer and member of the Vince Guaraldi Trio, Jerry Granelli. That's him playing the drums on Charlie Brown Christmas.

Charles Radcliffe: early Peace Movement activist, and member of the English Situationists (credited as 'political advisor' to the Jefferson Airplane on their Volunteers album).

I read his autobiography a few years ago, which is an exhaustive 900 page 'cultural document' containing accounts of the early London Blues scene (Eric Clapton was a flatmate), and the visits by US Blues artists to London in '63 and '64, among many other entertaining diversions.

Jackie Mason, who definitely fell into my ‘people you didn’t realize etc’ category.

For $300 via Cameo, you could hire Jackie Mason to do a small video routine for friend or foe. His intro video was... not quite there. Felt bad that he was a Trumper for the last couple years, but I guess that's the fate of professional angry dudes.

I remember hearing a very bad late period set of his on R4 something like 20 years ago and he was doing a monologue about mobile phones eh? what's the point of them .. are they just a means for unemployed people to talk to each other while they walk the streets!

Wow. He was a monster drummer.

That sucks. He was an amazingly talented drummer. I only met him once while I worked at Roadrunner, and it was in 2014 or 2015 when he was just starting to come back; we shot a video where he and Mike Mangini from Dream Theater sat around talking about drums and kind of interviewing each other.

A lot of those old 60's/70's Leeds Utd players have been going fast in the last two years.

That’s true. I’m a tiny bit too young to remember him turning out for Leeds but he managed Exeter in the late 80s / early 90s so to me he’s that guy rather than the Leeds full back. He built (probably) our best ever team; he will always be loved by our lot.

A very good player, I believe, so why he only got 20 England caps while Mick Mills got 200 is a mystery.

If fuzzy memories of childhood are any guide, I think there was a shadowy cabal at Panini picking the England team ahead of Ron Greenwood. So many Mick Mills stickers.
