the callous contempt for young people on display here is just depressing. They've borne the brunt of Covid job losses and sacrificed nearly 18 months of the prime of their lives to look out for others (mostly) more vulnerable than themselves https://t.co/zDQxKc9q4p pic.twitter.com/gA2p4tHu9v

— tom (@malaiseforever) July 16, 2021

so Kieth's new campaigning tactic is doing televised focus groups with ignorant gammon bastards that will never vote for him and sit there grinning like a cunt while they slag off young people.

The labour party will only win again when its lead by someone who thinks talking about the labour party is boring

nashwan, Friday, 16 July 2021 13:46 (two years ago) link

yeah reminding people who aren't going to vote for them how shit they are whilst simultaneously telling great swathes of 2019 voters to fuck off is a great tactic. But how about making some popular policy offers that might improve people's lives rather than talking about the fucking Labour Party.

MoMsnet (calzino), Friday, 16 July 2021 14:24 (two years ago) link

Well, just when you think Starmer will never try some new tactic

It’s the penitential quality of Keir’s fortnightly rebrands that I really dig. The absence of light in his eyes, the suppressed horror of his body language, and his almost involuntary commitment to a single message: we’re shit and we don’t deserve your vote … yet. pic.twitter.com/ncBASh6aAQ

Could this be him standing for the Tories just three years later? pic.twitter.com/NoSH7fugeC

Some cunt who last voted Labour in 1997? Tell him to keep on voting Tory and go fuck himself.

I wish I could just be wryly amused by how utterly fucking useless Kieth is in terms of electioneering strategy, but also the cunt needs doing in. But also he's made it so I don't care anymore, so he's pretty good at what he does really.

Javid has it, which means a load more of them will have too. Can’t wait for full-house PMQs this week.

First item on Radio 4 news: Tony Blair, making a weekly rare intervention with his opinions on pandemic management.

He wants the PM not to isolate but to be at work. This shows TB's dire judgment, as much else has done.

Photos of rammed clubs, sorrowful shaking of the head that cash-strapped landlords didn’t act “responsibly” and demand vaccine passports at venue doors, long lens shots of parks, basically anything that blames it on other, common-sense-lacking, non-Tory-voting, parts of the GBP

So much going on that requires an opposition and Kieth is too busy doing purges of lefty fringe groups within the membership so he can look taller than 5"3 to the right wing press. I hope the little fucking cunt dies... painfully.

MoMsnet (calzino), Sunday, 18 July 2021 21:23 (two years ago) link

the sad thing is that there isn't really anything odd or jarring about the shadow DWP posting a Rand meme, it's Starmer Labour.

lol that is unfortunate for her, if it was Zarah Sultana or RLB posting the same then people would have twigged it was humour. But melts have to be more careful!

MoMsnet (calzino), Monday, 19 July 2021 06:57 (two years ago) link

it's amusing to me and possibly quite indicative of where Labour are at that 99% of people assumed she was probably a genuine right-libertarianism leaning Rand fan. All she had to post was "it was a pop at Saj you humourless fuckers" but she just seemed to have left it awkwardly hanging there!

MoMsnet (calzino), Monday, 19 July 2021 07:20 (two years ago) link

I scootered past Motion nightclub on my lunch break, just as their reopening party was kicking off.

On one hand it was great to hear music blaring out on a sunny Monday afternoon, but peering past the gate and seeing so many unmasked kids in such close proximity has definitely made me rethink my plans for the next few weeks.

Sticking to the 'old man pub' beer gardens for the forseeable future as I have a feeling here in Bristol things are going to get baaaad.

Seems to be some fairly large anti-lockdown protest around Westminster today. I understand that these people are fuckwits, but what exactly are they protesting now? Vaccines, maybe? God help us if there's ever some Fukushima-level radiation breach in the UK, these bellends would be 'doing their own research' even as the flesh is stripped from their scalps.
