yeah I guess, just seeing their star in the ascendant and while I'm not usually out for blood on these things in this particular case a cancellation would be in order

they can't be "cancelled" because they have a loyal simp audience and they're making the content they wish to hear, and any external criticism is just that, external. it would be like "cancelling" cum town - what's the point?

As I said, my impression is that they're getting more shine outside of that audience.

Hopefully dasha's acting career ends up nuking the pod before that can really happen, but personally my feeling is the audience/popularity/influence ceiling for the show is genuinely not that high

(Like, obviously they're doing very, very well for a podcast, but I don't see even CTH-level "ubiquity" in their future.)

It won't happen anytime soon, but I'm guessing they could be among the first to eventually hang it up and focus on their life-consuming non-podcast things -- something I don't notice as much on the other shows I've heard. It sounds like the show serves themselves more than anyone else, which is what their listeners want. Probably not the best way to expand an audience, but definitely a good way to maintain a following.

i only listened to a few eps (not a very regular podcast listener) and they didn't always adhere to the format

Then, I guess the question is about the wordplay (?) that makes it that and not “Pod About Lists”
