If only they'd put this much planning into the pandemic preparation:

what a disappointing poll, such blatant Labour Right sympathy and bias I can't take it seriously

but maybe just quit with the bland congratulations, because everyone itk knows you are only slightly more a Gooner as Cameron was a fookin' Villan ffs you embarrassing prick

calzino, Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:14 (five years ago)

Oh have they won? Ok

Mark G, Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:16 (five years ago)

I'm a REAL Arsenal fan, not a pretend one. That's why I have to mention it in every post

calzino, Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:19 (five years ago)

Nah, he’s actually a real Arse fan but the MP with the Emirates in his constituency is just so much better at being a football fan.

the thin blue lying (suzy), Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:45 (five years ago)

I'd love to see them going head to head in an Arsenal pub quiz. I bet Jez would skin the fucker on club history knowledge.

calzino, Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:49 (five years ago)

Next thing Keith will be tweeting how football is all about taking part.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:51 (five years ago)

It would be funny if he tweeted that at the Citteh fans but funny is not in his wheelhouse, is it?

the thin blue lying (suzy), Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:56 (five years ago)

REAL football fans don't melt when a local rival wins something. I never forgave Hudds Town fan David Peace for saying something like "perhaps a draw would be a fair result" when asked about who he fancied in the upcoming Hudds vs Vile Revenant of the North L66ds cunts game when he was plugging his Clough book!

calzino, Saturday, 29 May 2021 21:59 (five years ago)

RT if you knew Keir Starmer was a “As an Arsenal fan.”

lol he's like a Barry Sheerman type pol club fan, who once made a show of turning up at a pub when Town were playing Sheff Wed in the playoffs. And he was so was so fucking clueless he jumped up and cheered when Sheff Wed scored. Everyone in the pub was laughing and jeering at him and he stormed out.

calzino, Saturday, 29 May 2021 22:26 (five years ago)

Peace isn't a dirty Leeds fan?

Kieith has plenty form for warmly congratulating what are supposed to be his bitter rivals lol

maybe the beeple would be the times or between clark and hill (Bananaman Begins), Saturday, 29 May 2021 23:34 (five years ago)

no Peace is a Hudds Town fan to the core, he was at a Hudds vs Leeds friendly for the first completely pointless game Clough was in charge with his dad as a kid. That's what made his diplomatic prevarication all the more annoying!

calzino, Sunday, 30 May 2021 00:11 (five years ago)

This is a terribly sad story in @thesundaytimes. By admitting more kids from state schools, Oxbridge are forcing the privately educated offspring of the super wealthy to go to Ivy league colleges in the US. Something must be done to stop this! https://t.co/MB3Z8rzL6S

needed to check if the LSE social science prof is being ironic, can't always tell these days!!

My irony detector definitely registered significant activity.

terrible that some of these rich brats will have to join horribly American exclusive clubs that might not even approve of fucking pig's heads and burning $100 notes in front of homeless people

I visited Batley and Spen to hear from local people about the issues that matter to them.

Labour is making a difference to communities like this one right across our country.

I urge everyone to #VoteLabour and for our great candidate @kimleadbeater pic.twitter.com/FK2Mc93pC4

Hello I'm a former shadow chancellor and recent recipient of a frontal lobotomy and a demotion from Kieth. I've got absolutely nothing to offer you.. just want have a wee chat about the Labour party because the enthusiasm to talk about the party in Batley is off fucking the charts, I lied to myself after the 36th consecutive door was slammed in my face.

calzino, Monday, 31 May 2021 11:38 (five years ago)

it could be worse I suppose. George Galloway worse!

calzino, Monday, 31 May 2021 11:51 (five years ago)

I suppose saying "we are listening" is a good enough substitute for offering nothing in Kieth's mind.

calzino, Monday, 31 May 2021 11:52 (five years ago)

That video is very very haunted

plax (ico), Monday, 31 May 2021 14:52 (five years ago)

inspirational stuff, but if I had to put a grand on the by-election result it wouldn't be on Labour.

calzino, Monday, 31 May 2021 15:11 (five years ago)

Fuck is this?

Absolutely farcical stuff from the DFT, slash spending by £300mln, increase revenue by £1bln and pick a line at random and make it driverless. How could the mayor agree to this fantasy? https://t.co/6kabGP38Ja

I see some of the Left posters are attacking Khan's negotiating approach, not sure if he could have done better but it doesn't compare very favourably with Manchester. And he is a wanker!

the enigma of Kieth Starmzy!

of course Khan says he fought this very hard etc and now reluctantly blah blah... hard to imagine tbh

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 10:53 (five years ago)

You cannot make a London underground line driverless and slash spending at the same time

without being a transport eggspurt this sounds like a fucking recipe for disaster

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 11:02 (five years ago)

I bet Khan privately complains about Burnham, because you aren't supposed to do anything popular or good as mayor because they'll all start expecting the same ffs

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 11:13 (five years ago)

I would have though Khan almost losing to that clown Shaun Bailey has pretty much scuppered his hopes of becoming leader once Starmer kills himself.

Are Animated Dads Getting Hotter? (Tom D.), Tuesday, 1 June 2021 11:16 (five years ago)

Khan’s position is that this is the best they could negotiate and the deal avoids the cuts to underlying services that the government was angling for. idk what refusing to go along with it would look like for TfL’s short-term future.

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 11:25 (five years ago)

if you were on death row and Khan was your defense lawyer, he'd be telling you he negged hard to get you ice cream and jelly and several less kickings than you were going to get before you got strapped in the chair.

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 12:28 (five years ago)

I would have though Khan almost losing to that clown Shaun Bailey

Ehhh better margins than Boris ever got iirc.

Daniel_Rf, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 12:37 (five years ago)

It would be interesting to read any pieces circulating about what Khan could / should have done differently.

In the short term, i'd expect a lot of objections from business. The government constantly looking to pick fights with London, while also reliant on the idea that it returns to being a functional city driving the economy, doesn't seem sustainable.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Tuesday, 1 June 2021 13:12 (five years ago)

I've wrote a piece in Tribune suggesting Khan should have karate kicked the transport sec in the bollocks and said Bullshit, Mr Shapp Man!

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 13:47 (five years ago)

It did also pay for your childhood home to get onto the tube map for the first time ever. https://t.co/5LA5ZVq8O1

rotten Labour councillors

calzino, Tuesday, 1 June 2021 16:12 (five years ago)

what kind of shitty negotiator are you if you have to "trade off" affordable homes for infrastructure in this situation, they aren't even good at this stuff

— Jack Saundrs ❤🖤 (@jack_saundrs) June 1, 2021

As has been pointed out, it isn’t even a particularly necessary or useful tube station.
