First gut feeling without peering too closely: Germany, Austria or Czech Republic

The buildings have chimneys, which, unless they're a postmodern flourish, means they couldn't be more recent than the 50s and are more likely to be older. They look a bit like the housing estates built in Vienna in the 1920s, and the river looks like it could be the Danube Canal, but I can't see any bridges over the Danube Canal that look like that steel thing in the background.

Germany and Poland clearly have too many cities on rivers. Something has to be done about this imho.

I want to say Warsaw, but I don't think I'm correct.

maybe this is completely wrong to the right of that first lamp post there's a christmas decoration and then four white signs with their pole behind them - a bit further on, there's a maroon sign also on the left of the road... making me wonder: are we driving on the left here?

that's somewhere it snows (steep roofs) and i agree on the slightly rundown mitteleuropa vibe. maybe leipzig or dresden or something? but white buildings feel swedish?

I don't know about Denmark but here in New Jersey those roads would be considered in pretty nice condition.

I guess presence of pothole-patching also more evidence for a climate where it snows in winter.
