only saw the team line-up today not the game, so this may be based on assumption rather than reality, but starting to get pissed with klopp persisting with fabinho at CB when it only ends up screwing up the midfield. thought he had learned this is the case from the evidence of this season and man city's experience with fernandinho last season but the last couple of league games klopp seems to have gone back to it. annoying. not that they deserve to be in cl next year purely for on the pitch reasons let alone last weeks shenanigans

So is it TomD's turn to enjoy all that Mourinho brings to your club?

groovypanda, Saturday, 24 April 2021 17:52 (five years ago)

Fabinho back at centre half as Phillips has joined the list of the fallen

Xp

Aye, right. He's not that desperate for a job.

Authoritarian Steaks (Tom D.), Saturday, 24 April 2021 19:48 (five years ago)

Next time the BBC approach Wolves about showing one of their games live they should politely decline.

Authoritarian Steaks (Tom D.), Sunday, 25 April 2021 11:47 (five years ago)

Why?

the pinefox, Sunday, 25 April 2021 11:55 (five years ago)

Does Tom D support Wolves?

the pinefox, Sunday, 25 April 2021 11:55 (five years ago)

sounds like another afternoon of champagne football

Forgot this was on, woke up, saw score....lol.

Filibuster Poindexter (Neanderthal), Sunday, 25 April 2021 12:07 (five years ago)

The happiness of my fellow ILXors is my first concern.

Authoritarian Steaks (Tom D.), Sunday, 25 April 2021 12:10 (five years ago)

But, yes, they have been fucking dire.

Authoritarian Steaks (Tom D.), Sunday, 25 April 2021 12:11 (five years ago)

I'm watching in hopes of a mega comeback of epic proportions.

Filibuster Poindexter (Neanderthal), Sunday, 25 April 2021 12:19 (five years ago)

Just seen united scream a foul out of a ref from.....nothing?

flagpost fucking (darraghmac), Sunday, 25 April 2021 14:51 (five years ago)

Greenwood was quite obviously pulled back

Awful game, but Leeds didn't come to play at all

Number None, Sunday, 25 April 2021 14:55 (five years ago)

Ref’s a coward. Laporte should have had two yellows, rather than one.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 25 April 2021 16:15 (five years ago)

Though you could probably say the same about Reguilon.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 25 April 2021 16:15 (five years ago)

Tierney is a crook

flagpost fucking (darraghmac), Sunday, 25 April 2021 17:07 (five years ago)

he's simply not up to Super League standard

No jpg from Biscuits? Season's basically over I guess

imago, Sunday, 25 April 2021 21:15 (five years ago)

Yeah to be honest you always want to give 110% every game but me and the lads are on the beach mentally

hiroyoshi tins in (Sgt. Biscuits), Sunday, 25 April 2021 22:24 (five years ago)

so wolves put together 3 really good seasons in a row, then lose their best player for half the season through injury, and have a mediocre to bad season.

the reason is obvious according to some guardian football writer

It was difficult to watch Wolves’ lifeless display at Molineux and not link it to the way the team has been put together. Jorge Mendes’ influence at the club has been documented at length and, on the face of it, has served the team well: successive seventh-place finishes attest to a squad with a serious (and seriously pricey) array of talent. But perhaps the pitfall of allowing a super-agent to curate your squad is that factors like attitude, togetherness and commitment to the project fall by the wayside.

oscar bravo, Monday, 26 April 2021 15:05 (five years ago)

not like burnley of course

oscar bravo, Monday, 26 April 2021 15:06 (five years ago)

Im as prone to it as anyone else but yeah, a baked in advance gotcha stored away until the circs conveniently suit is not worth a dry shite as analysis

flagpost fucking (darraghmac), Monday, 26 April 2021 15:18 (five years ago)

i have numerous semi-formed thoughts about this disappointing season - a disappointing season when we'll finish very comfortably mid-table - and i wouldn't reduce it just to the loss of Raul - tho most teams would miss a player of his talents imo

anyway the Mendes thing is a nonsense, Nuno has always favoured players that fit into the team ethic and mentality, sometimes maybe at the cost of alienating more talented but mercurial individuals, and anybody who watched our first two seasons in the Prem ought to laugh at the idea that the problem is "flash Portuguese mercenaries who can't be arsed"

How the fuck are Palace 13th

hiroyoshi tins in (Sgt. Biscuits), Monday, 26 April 2021 18:04 (five years ago)

ancient curse iirc

imago, Monday, 26 April 2021 18:21 (five years ago)

lol talking of cursed I read a Dyche to Palace rumour the other day somewhere

calzino, Monday, 26 April 2021 18:49 (five years ago)

That reminds me, I've been assigning Shaun Derry's playing career to Sean Dyche ever since I first became aware as Dyche as a manager.

Big fan of Everton and Villa being contractually obliged to forget how to defend and just have a go at each other for 95 minutes twice a year

hiroyoshi tins in (Sgt. Biscuits), Saturday, 1 May 2021 19:36 (five years ago)

Beautiful

flagpost fucking (darraghmac), Saturday, 1 May 2021 20:54 (five years ago)

Don't think I've enjoyed watching villa that much since they battered Palace on boxing day

AEG even did a little bit of Bamford-y shithousing at the end. Deliciously satirical. Wonder if anyone else caught that reference

Carragher also on the fans' side

also laughable tosh from the premier league ""Fans have many channels by which to make their views known, but the actions of a minority seen today have no justification."

yeah fans views about kick off times and var really respected.

oscar bravo, Sunday, 2 May 2021 17:15 (five years ago)

strong "strikes are bad" energy from the some of the clowns complaining about this on the radio

Chickpeas, Scamps and Beeves (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 2 May 2021 17:26 (five years ago)

so many levels to this one

If people want to defend what Man Utd fans did today, fine. But then be consistent. Don’t complain when BLM do it. Don’t complain when Kill The Bill protestors do it. Don’t complain when Extinction Rebellion do it.
