xp just seemed funny to see Vince quoted like he was some kind of respected elder statesman or political historian, and not even a new quote.

the quote is taken from a review of her 2014 biography in which he also reveals she voted against abortion, easier divorces as well as being pro-student fees. I suppose being a reactionary arsehole and helping to bolster Thatcherism for another decade is about as influential as she got.

I suppose 2014 was the last time the lib dems could reasonably pretend to have any sort of relevance

and she voted against gay adoption, a true liberal to the core.

Normally avoid the comments but the one by Simple Opinion made me laugh, even if it whiffs of bs.

I think when he built that new 25000 capacity stadium for them I think their average attendance was like 4-5k at max and there wasn't much of a new stadium boost!

Very sad about Helen McCrory too. A very skilled actress with charisma off the scale. All of her colleagues are saying what a loyal and loving friend she was and you could just tell that was the case from her screen presence. I feel very sad for her family.

RIP Paul Oscher best known for his stint as harmonica player for the great Muddy Waters from the late '60s to the early '70s. Also played guitar.
