First and foremost: older brother music dominates. But, since we are where we are, older bro is not turning you on to obscure 90s indie or whatever, he is turning you on to what "Wolfy," his older buddy, turned HIM onto when he was in 9th grade. Which means that you're getting this weird trickle down effect that ensure that bands that were big in the early 90s are STILL popular and canonical today.

The middle girl in photo one (and I call her "the middle girl" here because I am returning mentally to a state where we knew nothing about these people except what was readily apparent) is without a doubt the mid-point between Wayne and the bored girl. She is a number 2 in many ways. For some, this is repellant, for others, this holds her appeal.

The middle girl is Megan, is she not? So we know quite a bit about her, since she posted a fair amount on the iraq site. She and Diehl used to work at McDonalds. (She went back there while Diehl was in Iraq and said "it wasn't the same" there without him). She moved out of home and shared an apartment with Laurel for a while (her mother had "didn't want her around" anymore. As for Laurel we at least know she used to live with Megan. (And that she might have been involved in a threeway with Megan and Diehl.) But as for Wayne, WE KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, EVEN AFTER 800 POSTS OF MUSING.

Diehl could have hooked up with Megan when they were both working at McDonalds, and Laurel's connection with Diehl is through Megan. There's no reason to assume they were all at highschool together.
