Guess the City

The trees don't look right for Australia.

pretty sure it's in a deciduous zone.

Is it Dnipro, Ukraine? I can't find the exact view from that angle, but some bridges and buildings look very suggestive of being in the right place.

i've tried the mid-atlantic seaboard in the u.s. and some baltic cities. can't find anything that looks that bright / new lol. feel like it's gotta be a somewhat major shipping port (river adjacent to large body of water?) with those bridges.

Not anywhere in the US, I don't see a single billboard or any large advertisement sign, which would be very unusual in that much city.

i got as far as Zaporizhzhia but did not move further up the dnieper. which is huge lol

Much of it was built up after the fall, unlike some other cities, but also worth mentioning that like Cracow in Poland, a certain amount of the pre-war city remained because it was occupied by the Nazis relatively briefly...and they also thought it was very beautiful. So much of Cracow's centrum remains relatively intact. It's odd.

Ha amazing. I was sure I could see the Matagarup bridge and then there was another bridge in about the right place and on the map there was a stadium in about the right location... which I didn’t check, looks nothing like the one in the pic. Good Dnipro-finding.

The bridge in the foreground doesn't appear to have clearance for freighters, but definitely can accommodate river barges.

There didn't seem to be enough cities on rivers in Canada, so I thought to try Russia and Eastern Europe. Started with Kiev moved south. Luckily found Dnipro pretty quick.

The pictured Dnipro arena was too small for use in Euro 2012.

In 2015 Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (as they were then known) knocked out Olympiacos, Ajax, Brugge, and Napoli before losing to to Sevilla in the Europa League final. They had to play their European home games in Kyiv due to the conflict in Eastern Ukraine (even though the city itself isn't really affected?). They then when bust in 2019, but there is now a successor club, SC Dnipro-1

TIL that uK cities that are not London have started doing red routes / urban clearways/ double red lines.

I think Wakefield might be the only UK city with street name signs in white lettering on black. Couldn't see any in the pic but there are still some up the road from me from pre boundary changes.

I recognize that sky but nothing else.

Also getting a West Country vibe, maybe Gloucester?

I thought 'somewhere between Greenford and Wembley' when I first saw it.

This is a good one because it looks like there would be loads of clues, but they all seem to lead to nothing, I even started googling where Ratpack and Baby D have appeared on the same bill, the answer is "many places"

I think it looks like London too but the double red lines suggest red routes and there aren’t many of those, at least not looking like that.

But the brick certainly looks like London stock.

It's bin night. Different councils have different bin types, but I refuse to go down that rabbit hole.

I had no problems seeing the words on the poster, once I saw the poster. My problem was I couldn't even see the poster, it was weirdly camoflauged. Then when you mentioned the words I was looking at the other two posters and thinking how the hell can anyone make the words out on those. Then even when I knew the poster was there it kept disappearing again like an optical illusion
