Personal "pin bookmarked thread" option. Sometimes I want to keep a thread easily accessible even without new posts, and find myself bookmarking the second-to-last post in a thread to keep it in view -- in which case it clutters up the regular updated-bookmarks list and doesn't show whether there are actual new posts. My pinned threads could be e.g. in a separate list above the regular updated-bookmarks list, and ideally also have a marker for whether it has new posts.

i would like to volunteer to help out with a new FAQ -- I enjoy welcoming newcomers and have a mind for inclusion that i would be happy to apply to the ilx concept. i also have a lot of time on my hands at the moment and would like some practice writing FAQs, which i believe there should be more of in the world.

Xpost to pbkr- i had that same thought but i think social media algorithms make you sift through a lot of stuff to find what you're looking for? Or at least they used to, i haven't touched social media in years. I find ilx to be the same way pretty much, so in that sense what i proposed would make it less like social media.

Sorry LL, I was meant to deal with this but I had loads of energy for it at first and then completely tapered off and now I can't even think about it for any longer than a second at a time. But while I was reworking it I just made comments as I went in brackets/italics, so feel free to do similar yourself on the doc.
