For topic coverage maybe, but I so hated how bad Matt’s mic would sound back then. Like none of these guys had the proficiency of your basic college DJ or dive bar sound guy just to record a basic voice

The tables have turned in the new series. Matt sounds fine, Felix sounds like he set a phone on a table across a bare room.

It’s usually Felix, but in episode 500 it was Amber who couldn’t be bothered to speak into the microphone.

Their terrible sound obscures the thing I hate most about podcasts - noise suppression when someone isn’t speaking. I find it very distracting to hear a slight hiss when someone is talking that drops out when they aren’t, it makes the noise more obvious.

yeah personally I try not to mix out *all* the noise for that reason (and cause you risk producing other weird artifacts)

is Virgil just gone now? Was surprised he wasn't on the 500th episode (or maybe he is later but not so far)

FWIW, Matt admitted on his latest Death is Around the Corner appearance that he felt weird about doing a Stitcher show, but the thinking was it might be a good way to get more people to check out Blowback, which I gather they're hoping will get to keep going beyond its forthcoming second season.

this was a great episode. at the beginning i remembered i read a bunch of articles about this tort damages problem in law school then they name-dropped my professor because she wrote the important one :)

ALAB, Revolutions and QAA are pretty much my only appointment listening at this point

if the Trillbillies were like 25% more focused I would enjoy them about 100% more

i barely listen to podcasts at all with no commute but i'm trying to walk more so i may resume
