Tom Hanks is a toughie inasmuch as he's been pretty good in about half the stuff he's been in and like grotesquely terrible in a lot of other stuff he's been in.

the only actor off the top of my head who has never ever worked for me in anything I've seen is paz de la heurta, and I can absolutely imagine her being great in the right role

as the third best actor in a recent production of our town i would like to extend critical support to natalie portman

I haven't seen him in a while but I know a guy who's an actor and, at various times, has been a main character in a couple of long running UK TV shows and he's a pretty down-to-earth bloke, not in the least precious.

Stoke Newington and environs is full of actors though.

harrison ford seems pretty down to earth, especially as a pilot

Even excluding the MCU, I’ve seen at least 70% of all Portman movies and she’s bad in all of them, whereas I can’t say the same about Hanks or Jude Law or ScarJo.

yes Eddie Redmayne is a horrible actor and The Danish Girl is in the running for most execrable moviewatching experience
