Guess the City

If you can guess a pop. 20,000 town in Uruguay within less than 24h based on two adjacent photos, then perhaps the true hard mode is a random nondescript highway in the middle of nowhere.

last few times I tried geoguesser it was always like that: some random dirt road in rural Brazil or Australia or Russia, zero text anywhere, often no buildings

The first photo was impossible though, even if we'd been able to figure out the logo

That pipe mounted to the side of it is like half-a-kilometer long and it gets smaller and smaller and it's pretty transfixing to see as you drive past it

Xp no, the cars generally argue against North America

Currently, around 300 trolleybus systems are in operation, in cities and towns in 43 countries.

The visible electrical wires also look vaguely Eastern European to me. Maybe more Central European since this place doesn't look too run down.

The banner on the lightpost looks, to me, a lot like the banners you see on college campuses promoting the college?

Not that I know where this is. The number of people walking around points me toward Europe rather than North America though.

I'm intrigued by the sign next to the red gate, looks like it's representing a church or something like that. Like it's telling us "this hasn't always been a shithole, there used to be a beautiful church around here"
