Guess the City

Reminds me a bit of some parts of Mexico City.

I have been to that city
I've seen the banners and I remember thinking "that A is irrelevant to the city name"
The only places I've been to that look like that are in Iberia
There is a busker playing guitar
It is Spain, I think it's Madrid

Madrid makes sense - palm trees, and yet could still be coldish in spring

That shelter looks a little dus

I'm not sure the shelter feels right for Madrid but I've never been to Madrid

My first thought was Zurich but also, weirdly, has the feel of Ciutadella on Menorca.

If only we had a list of all the places FGTI had ever gone, this would be much easier.

God, idk. In the deep background there is a storefront that looks very Latin America, or like, El Paso.

Coming to this game after playing Geoguesser every day feels like putting on a straitjacket and sitting in a waiting room (I'm not complaining, just describing)

The green shelter kind of looks like something you'd find in a French park. Only I don't think this France, so I'm extrapolating to Latin countries - but I don't think Italy or Portugal so I reckon northern half of Spain is a good guess. Unless it's some wealthy southern bit of South America, aaaargh!

That streetlight looks very short

I think there's a clue in the trees lining the road (plane trees I think). They've been treated in a particular way - central trunk cut out and branches growing up around the stump. I'm sure I've seen that but not sure where. Not France, again I think Spain.

Maybe! But the scene all looks a bit tidy for Portugal. Tons of park benches, a council with money.

Also very flat: if it was Portugal it would have to be in the north, and it's hilly up there

I ruled out Portugal because the sidewalk paving is too disconsolate. The place might be "untidy" but the sidewalks are spectacular

100% South America, so thats the continent. Now to find the street

I've been thinking Andean plateau because of the way it seems cold but I've only been to Bolivia there, and only a handful of places there, and this isn't one of them. But the cars (old & small) match those I saw there. The pickup truck suggests something in the USA's orbit, and that this is not total poverty (so again, probably not Bolivia).

Agree that the cars absolutely aren't well-off European, so I guess Spanish South American. But it's still cold, people are still wrapped up. Argentina? Uruguay?

That's why I said Andean plateau. It's chilly to cold there year round, at least in many places, because it's so high up.

Unless this photo is from the 90s, I'm very confused by these cars. I did a bunch of street drops across Latin/South America and Bolivia was the only one that remotely matched
