I dunno, those numbers make me fairly optimistic. Those are way lower percentages than I would've expected, and I can't help but feel that they'll drop further the longer Trump is out of the daily spotlight. Which isn't to say that the party as a whole isn't garbage or that that particular subset of people aren't scary as fuck.

not to be a negative nancy, but...do you think rising authoritarians/fascists in the GOP are going to idly stand by as trump is out of the spotlight and all of the rage they spent decades fomenting slowly dissipates over several months? if i was a rising authoritarian/fascist, i would recognize that as a time to step up and be the thing that everyone has been worried about since 2016: a competent US fascist
