MSNBC reporting bipartisan consensus on finishing electoral vote count tonight.

My hopes are twofold. One, is that rather than objecting to each individual contested state (or, gah, each elector, as was proposed), the houses agree to ONE two-hour debate for the consolidated objections.

Two, that this afternoon's disgusting display causes at least a few GOPErs to reconsider and hop off the objection express.

My heart wants this shit to backfire in terms of public opinion. I can't promise I'll continue to be able to muster hope in that direction.
