think Americans, I think Republicans, conservatives, can be forgiven for their skepticism. Because whether or not an election was rigged, it certainly feels like society is rigged right now, from the complete squelching of dissent on college campuses, inside the media institutions, to being lied about the Hunter Biden story, to watching President Trump impeached, every step of the way watching President Trump undermine, his legitimacy questioned. And when you deal with that for not just four years but decades, you start to think, if not an election, the entire society is rigged against people who hold my values.

Every day the news was a nonstop mixture of actual Trump scandals and silly pumped-up bullshit about Trump. I mean, we even made up (and I used) this insane term called "whataboutism" to avoid our own hypocrisies!

I mean....I would argue that many of Trump's scandal were underplayed and that the media went out of its way for most of his term to try to present him as a normal president

I wouldn't panic too much yet

it's not really known in what order the votes will be counted, coming into this I think most people assumed it would be one of those "red mirage" situations where the GOP was up big early and then mail-ins would be counted and shift the vote blue. this time it looks like the absentees in urban counties were dumped early which is why Warnock/Ossoff were up big to start. now the rural votes are coming in so its tightening. it's all noise at this point, what's important to look at is how the individual counties are doing relative to the presidential election. it appears that Ossoff and Warnock are outperforming Biden by 1-2 points in the big areas. it also looks like the Rs are outperforming Trump in a lot of rural areas, but only just barely. So far it looks good for the Democrats.
