There's going to be a lot of story compression in season 6, to cover the arc in books 7/8/9. Sure, some scene setting can be done in a B-story of season 5, but if the broadcast series mimics the book timeline, that will be limited.

I want a Drummer spinoff series, focusing on events between seasons 5 and 6.

I wish s4 had compressed its A-plot to, like, 3-4 episodes tbh

I'm assuming they won't do books 7 to 9 xps

Especially (book spoiler): given the big time jump from book 6 to 7

No Cas Anvar in the final season either, guess they are taking the complaints seriously

Some day I think you and I are going to end up bloody he says with all the menace of Tucker Jenkins in High Noon or some posh acting school kid playing a thug in The Bill. lol that would be a tragic mismatch. But season 4 is very addictive viewing as well so far.

his weaselly shitheel of a character does have some interesting levels of murderous menace tbf - a worthy baddie in a series where most of the fun is in enjoying watching the wrong uns.

I think the thing about the series that makes it interestingly cohesive is that the books really did characterize role playing game style. in some ways, Marco is like Amos in that he has no conscientious objection to killing, but his moral compass is nearly 180 degrees from Amos. Amos would kill a single person with no remorse when it protects the few good or reasonable people, but Marco has no problem killing millions for a cause
