I read that as taking a ball peen hammer to your exposed peen, and... well, yeah.

why did texas elect the guy who sings Someday, Someway?

No judge in the United States is going to disqualify ballots cast in good faith by voters following the law of the state.

I really hope you're right over the next, I dunno, 10-20 years.

Me too!

So Rudy’s courtroom appearance on Tuesday produced the expected response:

A federal judge has dismissed President Trump's lawsuit seeking to overturn the results of the election he lost in PA.

The decision is pretty brutal. He sums up Trump's case as "strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations." https://t.co/7012s78NDk pic.twitter.com/5z6AOB8VPp

case would “require invalidating the ballots of every person who voted in PA...this Court has no authority to take away the right to vote of even a single person, let alone millions of citizens...”

As we face a pandemic that has infected nearly 12 million in our country, health care coverage is more vitally important than ever. The Open Enrollment window is happening now through Dec. 15th only for coverage in 2021.

NEW: The @TeamTrump lawsuit against the PA Sec’y of State — argued by Rudy Giuliani last week — has been DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE, meaning the campaign can’t refile. pic.twitter.com/3JMQDy4OOZ

They can appeal to the Third Circuit, but given how thoroughly they trashed a Trump campaign lawsuit a few days back, small chance of relief (and the judges who did so are of a notably conservative bent). Not unrelated, an attorney working in the 3rd Circuit noted this re the judge that delivered today's ruling:

Conservative twitter is erupting w these Obama-judge takes, but it's all delusional. Judge Brann was a Federalist Society member who served on the Pa. GOP State Comm, on his county Republican committee for 18 years. He reportedly was picked by Toomey.https://t.co/d9GS0GeuxT https://t.co/8wpfC07gUs

you should see the delusion on Carmine Sabia's twitter page

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 22 November 2020 01:02 (five years ago)

Sabia's Twitter bio features seven descriptors. Three are value neutral, though pundit should be a crime, not a profession ("Writer, Editor, Pundit"). The other four are varying degrees of atrocious ("Christian conservative, Yankees fan, NRA member, Israel supporter").

but also fuck you (unperson), Sunday, 22 November 2020 01:23 (five years ago)

I suppose, given the opinions he expresses, I should be pleasantly surprised he spelled Israel correctly.

I try to be an open-minded person and reach across political lines to find common ground. But, sorry, rooting for the Yankees is a deal-breaker.

coupvfefe (Ye Mad Puffin), Sunday, 22 November 2020 01:34 (five years ago)

LOL. "Losing this case is going to help us get it expeditiously to the Supreme Court."

Okay. Go with that. https://t.co/dqqWdpbtS5

— Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) November 22, 2020

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 22 November 2020 01:35 (five years ago)

The campaign statement is, much like this lawsuit, gibberish.

The Trump campaign now cliams that "Democrats eliminated our opportunity to present 50 witnesses and other evidence."

Um . . what?

Judge Brann footnote: "Curiously, Plaintiffs now claim that they seek only to enjoin certification of the presidential certification results. They suggest that their requested relief would thus not interfere with other election results in the state."

Dan S, Sunday, 22 November 2020 01:55 (five years ago)

none of this is about "winning"in any legal sense, imo, it's all about inventing false resentments

this is all meth-addled carny shit now but it’ll only redound to GOP’s benefit when the margins are closer and the candidate isn’t a flagrant idiot asshole

it'll be 2022 and they'll be saying "letting Biden be the President for two years is all part of the plan, just wait until we decertify the results from 2020"

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 22 November 2020 02:16 (five years ago)

Meantime, 2016’s true primary winner deep on the issues

Mr. Room Rater, is it possible now that the election is over to rate rooms on a non partisan basis? Are you a room rater or a hyper partisan person that is the problem? We need less hyper partisanship on backgrounds at this time for our country. https://t.co/6oPKILYLZB

Going great!

Sydney Powell is currently alleging on Newsmax that Georgia's Republican governor, Brian Kemp, was paid by Dominion as part of the conspiracy to defeat Donald Trump.

The Newsmax anchor just said everything she is alleging sounds nuts but who knows it could be true.

she is the most insane, extreme partisan for Trump yet

Dan S, Sunday, 22 November 2020 02:47 (five years ago)

Admit it. You sort of want Trump to run in 2024.

— Nahal Toosi (@nahaltoosi) November 21, 2020

So getting ratio-ed has been … interesting. Some responses to this tweet have been thoughtful, some funny, others vicious. I won’t explain what I was thinking when I wrote it – the critics won’t believe me anyway. But FWIW I speak only for myself. https://t.co/8JywVjEtf4

I want him to block any other republicans who want to run in 2024 and then not run or die

Dan S, Sunday, 22 November 2020 03:02 (five years ago)

dying in the middle of the first debate would be pretty cool

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 22 November 2020 03:09 (five years ago)

go out like Harry Einstein maybe

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 22 November 2020 03:09 (five years ago)

I admit I like the idea of him freezing the careers of a dozen slavering GOP hacks, and then losing catastrophically (again) while making sour-grapey claims about how it was RIGGED and STOLEN and he was STABBED IN THE BACK.

But then, I thought he had no chance in the first place, so I am not a good prognosticator

coupvfefe (Ye Mad Puffin), Sunday, 22 November 2020 03:13 (five years ago)

i suspect that's why that tweet got ratio'ed. nobody wants to hear how it's 'secretly great if Trump runs - he can't win!'

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 22 November 2020 03:14 (five years ago)

Powell sure seems to be a grade-A lunatic. I mean, even if based on no other evidence than the fact that she eagerly hopped on a train that was in the process of careening off a cliff.
