Rudy reminds me of the positively ancient partners at my old job who feebly trailed behind assistants in the cafeteria who assembled their lunch for them because they were too infirm to do it for themselves. I always wondered what value there was in them continuing to come into the office.

I'm assuming he was always the latter, but he managed to not shit the bed after 9/11 enough to make him seem like a good leader, but maybe NYC folks can disabuse me of that assumption.

BTW the right-wing "it's 6D chess" line is that they always intended to lose these initial cases, and lose them quickly; the objective is to lose in lower courts so that you can appeal to higher ones, presumably ending with the Trumpian Supreme Court.

It's kind of funny how "Throw out all Joe Biden's ballots" isn't quite the winning legal strategy they envisioned.
