When I see them I'm easily able to identify them, but for some reason when I try to mentally picture which of them was in what movie, I often confuse Martin Landau and Frank Langella.
Like just this moment, when I checked to confirm my certainty that Langella played Lugosi in Ed Wood. Nope. They don't even look that much alike, ffs. I don't know what my problem is.

I knew there must be two people when I saw the news about the MSNBC appointment but I thought I must have got the actor’s name wrong. Mixing up two names. But I hadn’t mixed up two names as there was only one name. It strikes me that this thread is half for cases of people mixing up similar names and half for mixing up similar people.
