In my line of work, we would look for more reliable data. If I told my execs to "accept that there's more uncertainty" in the future, I would also need to accept more uncertainty of being employed going forward.

There’s no need to speculate about horrible people Biden will hire to do things he has already hired horrible people (former tech company counsel and government affairs people) for his transition team to do some good old fashioned regulatory capture.

"That slowed the process of the Bush administration getting their national security team in place. Eight months later, we had 9/11," Marchick said. "When the 9/11 Commission did their autopsy on what went wrong, one of the things they pointed to was the slow pace of the Bush administration getting their national security team in place.
