In theory, I have no problem with Trump fleecing his followers straight into the poorhouse. If there was only a surefire means of interception such that he could never get his hands on the money and wound up in the poorhouse right alongside them.

The non-insane media should call a unilateral end to "Trump says he's going to do X" stories, and agree to only run "Trump does X" stories, because he's never gonna do a fucking one of the ten thousand things he says he's gonna do between now and January 20.

I actually wondered, voting in person three weeks before election day in the midst of a pandemic... if I died before Election Day would my vote get invalidated? What if I had mailed it in so that it wasn't counted at the moment I voted?

Sure. But more practically, it puts up an additional obstacle for elections workers to navigate and adds yet another layer of difficulty to what can and should be the easiest way for voters to participate in elections. Just another, more arcane, method of suppressing votes.

There are just so many infuriating things that it's impossible to keep track and respond to each one (which is of course deliberate). Anyway

1. I have literally seen "if your ballot didn't arrive on time, that's on you" from precisely the same people who deliberately worked to hamstring the USPS

2. A federal court actually ordered USPS to deliver all the ballots it had ASAP. Trump/DeJoy's USPS refused.

4. GOP observers weren't excluded - in the most cited case, there were already GOP observers and the Trump campaign lawyer was forced to admit as such grr.

5. Wow, some people in Nevada voted in Nevada despite not living there - duh, that's completely normal for people who have moved recently or - significantly for Nevada with its large military population - vote absentee while stationed elsewhere grr

6. There is a fucking pandemic that Democrats have taken seriously (comparatively) and Republicans have not (relatively speaking), so there should be comparatively little surprise at the divergence in modes of voting
