finally some inspired play at the end of the half, though ultimately not amounting to much. Wolves just very nervy with the ball, feel like for the first 40 minutes, most of the possession came from defenders.

do you think this is mostly just an expected product of inserting so many new pieces into the lineup this year that still haven't congealed? was so used to their one-touch passing last year, and now they're very slow and indecisive with the ball. feeling like midfield can barely keep the ball. forwards being completely taken out of the game as a result.

halftime sub, Traore? i know that wouldn't be Nuno's usual choice to sub that early but idk, they need a spark of some type, maybe a player that draws double-teams to free up other people.

still in it though, but have to play better than that.

coming back into this, have to start the second half with some intensity

i don't think he'll change anything at half time, this is partly tactical and partly mental but you'd see us starting to get in gear for the last 5-10 mins. i think the close passing game is fine margins and when it doesn't work it sometimes just takes little tweaks of position to get it firing

hoping they start out more like they ended the first half. crosses into the box were looking pretty good and eventually one of them lands in a deadly area.

things not coming off for Podence and to a lesser extent Neto or Raul but they all move and cover so much ground that i wouldn't single any of them out yet
