On life after, anger at Fox / Murdoch family cannot be understated. Should he lose, Trump wants to destroy Fox - aides believe they can steal hosts Hannity & Carlson. Sources believe Trump will never admit he lost should we get there - instead stick with “rigged” “fraud” “stolen” https://t.co/15PzANMS9c

might be tough to steal some of those fox hosts cuz they actually like to be paid.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:27 (five years ago)

AFAIC, this will be the worst part of this lame duck period. A couple more months of complete inaction at the federal level as we head into winter is going to be devastating.

have thought this, a lot

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:28 (five years ago)

the only hope is that the GOP is motivated to do something by the georgia runoffs. but even then, trump stands in the way.

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:29 (five years ago)

I know the short answer is misplaced vengeance, but what does Trump gain by firing a lot of senior people at this point?

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:29 (five years ago)

You have answered your own question quite well as you yourself admit

xpost Why among other things he gains the ability to let Biden pick a new head of the FBI

Ned Raggett, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:31 (five years ago)

(Which would be strangely ironic since while I am aggressively neutral on Wray, over time he seems to have quietly pushed back against Trump and Barr as much as he can.)

Ned Raggett, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:31 (five years ago)

medium answer, the grim satisfaction of being true to the worst impulses of a broken man

Senate committee talk from Graham: If we keep the Senate which I think we will and I become Budget chairman. I'd like to create a dialogue about how can we finally begin to address the debt.

Im gonna have a stroke

Trump TV is going to aim to get Hannity and Carlson but will have to settle for Gorka and Crowder

Muswell Hillbilly Elegy (President Keyes), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:34 (five years ago)

In a dank, dark room.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:35 (five years ago)

The only Trump TV there’s going to be is the security camera outside his cell

So, I now must ask everyone to imagine what, exactly, this will be like, look like, and actually have:

The Donald Trump Presidential Library.

I know cognitive dissonance is the Trumpist's stock in trade, but...is it going to dawn on them at some point that Trump is, by his own definition, a loser now?

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:39 (five years ago)

A giant hall to display printouts of his collected tweets

Mr. Cacciatore (Moodles), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:39 (five years ago)

the Dunning-Kruger effect is strong with this one

sarahell, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:40 (five years ago)

you're not a loser if the democrats did election theft but not so much election theft to decisively flip the senate

like, I’m eating an elephant head (katherine), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:41 (five years ago)

Blowout win on election night would've been preferable in the historical view but was pretty satisfying to watch Sleepy J gradually move on Trump like a bitch

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:42 (five years ago)

the trump presidential library will probably be sweet tbh. a glity, gaudy palace to ignorance.

treeship., Friday, 6 November 2020 17:42 (five years ago)

Turns out someone's been hard at work -- a brilliant knockoff:

Ned Raggett, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:43 (five years ago)

whatever it looks like- I’m sure the Q believers will be there 24/7 combing it for clues and coded instructions.

epistantophus, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:44 (five years ago)

Lunch, not from my right-wing hatereading. They're still in full bubble mode about how Trump won and the election was stolen in broad daylight by traitorous democrats, because you see, they put paper on the windows and didn't let in observers and they manufactured thumb drives full of fraudulent votes by dead people and cats and the cats of dead people and also dead cats

coup de nancy grace (Ye Mad Puffin), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:45 (five years ago)

The Donald Trump Presidential Library... NOS signed copies of Art of the Deal, fake TIME & Sports Illustrated covers... and not much else.

"why are there so few books in the Q section????????"

it bangs for thee (Simon H.), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:45 (five years ago)

the trump presidential library will probably be lots of thick leather bound books that consist of completely blank pages

I am using your worlds, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:45 (five years ago)

goldleaf on the edges of that pages baby

treeship., Friday, 6 November 2020 17:47 (five years ago)

So cunning as to mount a coordinated effort in multiple states to commit voter fraud, yet so inept that they made it so obvious that Joe 6 Pack could spot it! 100% of a truckload of ballots all for Biden dropped off at 4am?? Nice try

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:47 (five years ago)

can’t wait for the first highway or bridge or airport to be named after him

Granny, right, and the traitorous media and spineless RINOs are just letting them get away with it and the true patriots should rise up etc

coup de nancy grace (Ye Mad Puffin), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:48 (five years ago)

What I'm most looking forward to are the knock-on effects of this:

- tenants (residential and corporate) moving out of Trump Tower
- his golf clubs hemorrhaging members
- the amount of blood on the walls when the Kushner family tries to renegotiate their lease on 666 Fifth Avenue
- how many of Ivanka Trump's recently granted Chinese trademarks are no longer valid
- the "we've sold your debt for ten cents on the dollar to a Chinese organ harvesting concern - good luck!" letter from Deutsche Bank

but also fuck you (unperson), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:49 (five years ago)

"why are there so few books in the Q section????????"

kudos for this

Plus all the bridges and airports that will be named after him.

coup de nancy grace (Ye Mad Puffin), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:51 (five years ago)

Omg, Trump President library should be an Escape Room filled with Trump branded bullshit and bric a brac.

I've always said/quoted that Trump will be the first president in history to have fewer things named after him than when he was elected.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:51 (five years ago)

Oh I'm certain most of his followers are still full-blown ride or die at this point and probably will be at least through Biden's inauguration, but once Trump is out of office and no longer the obsession of the media and facing numerous legal issues and rapidly dwindling finances, etc., I feel like we might start to see the bloom come off the rose a bit. Not that Trumpists won't just park their crazy somewhere else, but still. Sad!

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:52 (five years ago)

guys

treeship., Friday, 6 November 2020 17:53 (five years ago)

no more trump

He should buy a big fleet like L. Ron Hubbard and take them all on a never-ending cruise.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 November 2020 17:54 (five years ago)

Also the likes of this to look forward to. (And I know this thread hates such stuff.) Will be shot in two separate rooms if it ever happens.
