2007 was the only election I've ever gone out or to a party for: a freakbeat / psych night in a university bar, DJed by Jay Katz and the Mu-Mesons, with HG Nelson in attendance doing live election calls over / in between tracks. I had no expectation or even hope of Howard losing, so to be in that environment, leaping up and down on a sticky carpet amidst balloons, made it better than any other result can ever live up to.
