congratulations to the wolves lads here on the wolves thread.
Traoré has been mince for my fantasy team, think I better get rid soon.

Spurs thread surely?
― Young Boys of Bernie (Tom D.), Friday, 30 October 2020 22:27 (five years ago)
they've also got the Chipper Villans™ and the transatlantic Wolves posse challenging them for thread domination these days
― calzino, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:34 (five years ago)
losing darraghmac has probably cost them at least a 47% loss in thread possession
― calzino, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:37 (five years ago)
am awkwardly avoiding the lower league proles thread after poor Naby had his first nightmare for Huddersfield the other day
― imago, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:37 (five years ago)
ah no biggie - shit happens etc, the consensus still is generally a back line with him, Pipa on the right and Toffolo on the left is a work in progress and bodes good for the future
― calzino, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:42 (five years ago)
best guess is Traore or Saiss aren't gonna be regular starters bar injuries, and i love both of them but just observation
― big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 23:24 (five years ago)
this is almost catatonically shit, as it always was going to be
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:05 (five years ago)
playing both McTominay and Fred is rank awful cowardice
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:06 (five years ago)
i don't care how many streaks they go on Ole will always be a shit manager
― big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:07 (five years ago)
man utd are so weird.mctominay and fred together is to get pogba and bruno in team. pog/bruno plus only one of mctom/fred would get killed by a competent team imo.
― oscar bravo, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:23 (five years ago)
the diamond worked against Leipzig but it's been a disaster here
McTominay doesn't know where he is on the pitch
I'd push Rashford and Greenwood wide and get Cavani and van de Beek on
― Number None, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:27 (five years ago)
McTominay can only have a clause that he has to play a minimum of matches or else the club have to pay him 100m. Otherwise I don't know why he's still playing.
― A Scampo Darkly (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:39 (five years ago)
he is a wretched footballer, I said it last weekend
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:43 (five years ago)

― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:58 (five years ago)
surely now United have to idk try?

A reference to (the 2004) ‘pizzagate’ threw me for a second earlier today. A more innocent time.
― Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:19 (five years ago)
united were extremely awful
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:25 (five years ago)
Agreed. We'll turn up now and again, there's too much talent in the squad not to, but so much of what he does is counterintuitive and he's fundamentally a coward
― Number None, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:25 (five years ago)
can't even enjoy it really, they were that bad
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:26 (five years ago)
p sure there was a time the prem wouldnt let players have their first name on their shirt, now every team has at least a couple of first name onlys. the games gone brian
― oscar bravo, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:28 (five years ago)
lol if there's ever a Brian then it will kind of rule tbh
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:31 (five years ago)
Bryan Ruiz did it. Does that count?
― cajunsunday, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:37 (five years ago)
gonna say yes
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:48 (five years ago)
He wanted Bryan bcz he thought his dad (surname Ruiz) was a cunt. That's gotta count for something.
― A Scampo Darkly (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 1 November 2020 18:52 (five years ago)
That chip over the wall was so good they should award us a goal for it.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:27 (five years ago)
VAR rewarding pretty almost goals as actual goals could be an interesting development.
― Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:28 (five years ago)
I wonder what % of games this season have had a penalty in them
― imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:30 (five years ago)
Oh that is absolute bullshit.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:36 (five years ago)
that shot of the ref looking at a split-screen image of himself five yards away from the foul was peak VAR
― Number None, Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:38 (five years ago)
ruling on the pitch = I am incapable of officiating match, I am therefore going home for the night
― Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:39 (five years ago)
Gareth!
― Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:50 (five years ago)
The kind of cross we’ve been lacking too.
It's like watching Real Madrid.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 1 November 2020 20:53 (five years ago)
idk why a team that fundamentally screws up at the back at least a couple of times a game is content to sit on a one-goal lead and give the opposition two thirds of the possession but I’m sure it won’t come back to bite them again.
― Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 1 November 2020 21:04 (five years ago)
my US team does the same thing
― Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 1 November 2020 21:05 (five years ago)
kinda feel like the best defense is consistent possession with creation of chances to score but idk
― Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Sunday, 1 November 2020 21:06 (five years ago)
Uh guys, forgotten who's the manager of this lot?
― A Scampo Darkly (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 1 November 2020 21:07 (five years ago)
Gonna be so angry if we concede during the six minutes racked up during that bullshit VAR call.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 1 November 2020 21:11 (five years ago)
still got absolutely no idea how good a manager ol' brendan really is
― imago, Monday, 2 November 2020 21:55 (five years ago)
His lack of honesty and integrity undermines his undoubted cmotivational qualities
― here we go, ten in a rona (onimo), Tuesday, 3 November 2020 14:21 (five years ago)
Oops
convfefe
...his undoubted coaching and (short term) motivational qualities
― here we go, ten in a rona (onimo), Tuesday, 3 November 2020 14:22 (five years ago)
"Lack of honesty" feels harsh on Brendan, but then I was trying to describe it and I was like "He's sort of a bullshitter" so... yes. I think he produces a football man face that's smarmy.
As for how good he is: I think for a long time the only "locally produced" manager of high quality was Ferguson. Up with him were foreign imports and then there was a gulf to Bruce, Moyes, Allardici and so on. Brendan wandering that lonely void in between the managerial-round-abouters and the top top echelon.
His European record at Liverpool and Celtic was atrocious. Needs to really work on that. And needs to capitalise with Leicester if Utd and Arsenal are as shit as they look this year.
― in twelve parts (lamonti), Thursday, 5 November 2020 08:49 (five years ago)
I can't work out if Saints are legitimately good this year or whether they're just the next in the cycle of 'due a few good games'. The latter, I suspect, but it would be nice to see us have a good season.
― Vanishing Point (Chinaski), Friday, 6 November 2020 20:20 (five years ago)
