just saw the lineup. is Traore off the bench now a permanent strategy?

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 19:07 (five years ago)

Looks that way at the moment, haven't seen a lineup yet but I've come to the pub for this. Tbh I understand what he's trying to do with that front 3, Podence and Neto are both better technical players

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 19:30 (five years ago)

In any case there's a lot to be said for bringing on an express train late on to run at tired fullbacks.

Matt DC, Friday, 30 October 2020 19:39 (five years ago)

Yeah, my concern with that is how happy Traore is to play that role all season but he's still negotiating a new contract as far as I know so he can't be that arsey about it

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 19:40 (five years ago)

that was mostly my thought process. I know interest in him is high.

super-subs are a valuable tool though when you have them.

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 19:41 (five years ago)

I don't think interest in Adama is anything like high enough to meet the prices that were being bandied about last season tbh. Joyful to watch him in full effect but he'll always carry a bunch of question marks over him

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 19:44 (five years ago)

Ait-Nouri starting is exciting

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 19:49 (five years ago)

Should I lose Saiss from my fantasy team now then?

or something, Friday, 30 October 2020 19:55 (five years ago)

He doesn't look an automatic starter as long as Kilman and one of the alternative LWBs are playing well

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:02 (five years ago)

helluva start from Ait-Nouri

beautiful GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:23 (five years ago)

team lookin gso much better with chance creation and getting the ball into dangerous areas

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:24 (five years ago)

Ait-Nouri been all over the pitch

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:25 (five years ago)

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:26 (five years ago)

That was bosh, nipped out for a cig, nobody score

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:26 (five years ago)

Donk with the Doink

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:29 (five years ago)

This is more like it

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:30 (five years ago)

i'm watching this while on a webcam at work and i accidentally reacted to the goal on camera. oops. nobody knew why i was excited

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:30 (five years ago)

Lovely cool finish

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:31 (five years ago)

PODENCE...holy fuck this is great

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:32 (five years ago)

maaan, have missed this Wolves

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:32 (five years ago)

Ohmygod var's give us something. Palace probably gently robbed there tbh

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:42 (five years ago)

I've not really been able to make sense of Wolves this season* but this is great.

*Some unusual transfer stuff; Nuno not always at his most decisive.

Vanishing Point (Chinaski), Friday, 30 October 2020 20:48 (five years ago)

fuckin missed the last 10 minutes because my partner was supposed to lead something ands aid I'LL PASS IT TO YOU, ROB, COS I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE VIDEO IS.

what the fuck. at least i didn't miss any goals.

work over, get to watch uninterrupted now.

this is how Wolves looked through probably the middle of last year, with one touch passing, anticipating movements, good crosses into the box. woohoo.

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:01 (five years ago)

xp

We bossed Sheff U first game and have looked sub par since. I know what you mean about Nuno looking uncertain and I've been hoping that's because he's trying to change the tactics up a bit. Much better so far tonight but I hope we don't try and suck up pressure all 2nd half

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:08 (five years ago)

I like Ait-Nouri's swagger

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:13 (five years ago)

well until he mauled that guy in the box

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:15 (five years ago)

aight let's not play like the score is 6-0 now

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:17 (five years ago)

Feels like a big season for Wolves and - I don't want to separate him from the club and the work he's doing there - Nuno in particular. So clearly a class act and it'd be great to see him build something. Kind of amazed his name doesn't come up more often though.

Vanishing Point (Chinaski), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:18 (five years ago)

I think there's a suspicion that he's very one-note as a tactician, might end up to be true yet. Of course I love him, even putting the results aside he's v loveable

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:25 (five years ago)

c'mon Traore time, I want 2 more goals

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:32 (five years ago)

service into the box has been much better today

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:37 (five years ago)

xp Dude was a keeper - he can be forgiven for being a bit, ah, singular.

Shit, I just checked: I'm the same age as Nuno. Which is to say, I hope there's still time for him to develop.

Vanishing Point (Chinaski), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:39 (five years ago)

actually I think i'd be more happy with a clean sheet xxposts

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:40 (five years ago)

nice counter there, sad Traore banged it right at him

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:45 (five years ago)

that's gotta be at least a yellow

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:46 (five years ago)

looking at 5+ minutes of stoppage

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:48 (five years ago)

straight red

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:49 (five years ago)

lol wow just 4 minutes? feel like that VAR + injury took 5 alone

SILVA SIGHTING!!!

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:53 (five years ago)

First look at the red I didn't think it was that bad but every slo mo made it look worse, I dunno

Anyway, progress

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 21:55 (five years ago)

kinda funny that they've definitely been off other than today's match and the opener, but are sitting on 13 points, whereas at the same point last year, they'd just acquired their first win, and were sitting on 7 points.

after which came the infamous 2-0 upset at Man City.

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Friday, 30 October 2020 22:02 (five years ago)

congratulations to the wolves lads here on the wolves thread.

Traoré has been mince for my fantasy team, think I better get rid soon.

Politically homely (jim in vancouver), Friday, 30 October 2020 22:13 (five years ago)

Spurs thread surely?

Young Boys of Bernie (Tom D.), Friday, 30 October 2020 22:27 (five years ago)

they've also got the Chipper Villans™ and the transatlantic Wolves posse challenging them for thread domination these days

calzino, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:34 (five years ago)

losing darraghmac has probably cost them at least a 47% loss in thread possession

calzino, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:37 (five years ago)

am awkwardly avoiding the lower league proles thread after poor Naby had his first nightmare for Huddersfield the other day

imago, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:37 (five years ago)

ah no biggie - shit happens etc, the consensus still is generally a back line with him, Pipa on the right and Toffolo on the left is a work in progress and bodes good for the future

calzino, Friday, 30 October 2020 22:42 (five years ago)

best guess is Traore or Saiss aren't gonna be regular starters bar injuries, and i love both of them but just observation

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Friday, 30 October 2020 23:24 (five years ago)

this is almost catatonically shit, as it always was going to be

imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:05 (five years ago)

playing both McTominay and Fred is rank awful cowardice

imago, Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:06 (five years ago)

i don't care how many streaks they go on Ole will always be a shit manager

big man on scampus (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 1 November 2020 17:07 (five years ago)
