I feel like I should honor his memory by actually forcing myself to watch all the amazing movies that I haven’t had the attention span for during the pandemic. I own multiple Ozu movies and haven’t seen a single one!

Realizing now that yet another thing to love about ILX is that Morbs may be gone but years of his history with the community are still here, cast in amber and ripe for revisitation. I've found some comfort in recognizing that this evening.

Someone that I never got to know very well was Rickey Wright, "If Timi Yuro would be still alive..."

Yet, I come across posts of his all the time that I OTM. That guy's been gone for ten years, and I feel like I've only gotten to know him better since then.

I usually read ILX just from bookmarked threads so took me a while to see this. What a loss. I'm so sorry for all those who knew him well, and for everyone here, really. I remember a few years ago being exasperated with Morbs on film threads as I wrongly had him down as a miseryguts who just hated everything, but in recent times I'd turned around and he became one of my favourite posters. I knew the cancer was bad but I guess I never quite believed this was imminent. Love to all.

Is there an ilxor memorial thread, maybe with links to the R.I.P. thread of people we lost? That might be worth having if there isn't.
