This was why it is a shame that Bernie or Warren didn't win the primary because I thought running against someone as dislikable and putrid as Trump would be the best chance a candidate like them would ever have.

this is the real bummer...the way things broke out this year, if there was a year a grumpy geriatric socialist from vermont could have one, this was it.

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:29 (five years ago)

With apologies to the ilxor sight-impaired, I think we'll see many other glass ceilings broken before we have an eyepatch president. It's just too on the nose.

error prone wolf syndicate (Hadrian VIII), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:31 (five years ago)

Watch her constant interruptions & anger. Compare my full, flowing and “magnificently brilliant” answers to their “Q’s”.

i know this is designed to distract from other news of the day (like how he's going to suck ass in the debate tonight), but god, this is pathetic

president of my cat (Karl Malone), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:31 (five years ago)

If there was any possible way it could guarantee he would fuck off and I'd never ever have to hear from him or his trash family ever again, I would gladly donate $100. hell, maybe $500

― Evans on Hammond (evol j), Thursday, October 22, 2020 11:14 AM (eleven minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

I would not blame anyone, especially any minority or LGTBQ or whatever with more skin in the game than me, for feeling this way. I do feel like there is some slight importance or benefit to the public humiliation and rejection of a significant loss and single term.

He was very mean to Mr. Chamillionaire (PBKR), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:32 (five years ago)

WHAT.

A Dutch researcher managed to log into @realDonaldTrump's Twitter account by guessing his password ("maga2020"), which had no 2-step verification.https://t.co/UriCETV6qX pic.twitter.com/MO7qf8oQQp

Oh but now that the jig is up, what a lost opportunity to troll the fuck out of maganauts.

de site uit de lucht vanwege een administratieve blunder

superdeep borehole (harbl), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:46 (five years ago)

I always assumed the mega-stars of Twitter had special account protections since they would be such high-value hacking targets... guess not!

avellano medio inglés (f. hazel), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:47 (five years ago)

Twitter are on record as saying that account has 2fa. Random Dutch researcher figures it out and releases ... screenshots. Hahaha. No way that story is true.

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:48 (five years ago)

yeah i don't believe it either, clicked through to try and see if this news site looked credible and didn't learn anything

superdeep borehole (harbl), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:51 (five years ago)

i know from experience that twitter sends you an email if someone logs into your account from a weird place, too!

superdeep borehole (harbl), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:52 (five years ago)

Here's a more credible source
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/22/trump-twitter-hacked-dutch-researcher-password

oh wrong link lol but still

nashwan, Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:53 (five years ago)

A maga 2020 password implies he's been changing it every couple years, at least, and if he's smart enough to do that, which is to say, the minimum, it seems unlikely that his password is that dumb.

Josh in Chicago, Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:53 (five years ago)

I don't buy it either, but that it's even plausible with this fast food president says something.

Get the point? Good, let's dance with nunchaku. (Eric H.), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:53 (five years ago)

he tweeted @CIA lol

superdeep borehole (harbl), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:54 (five years ago)

the issue, of course, is that after years of gaslighting we can hardly be expected to NOT believe any immensely dumb or corrupt thing this administration is accused of.

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:57 (five years ago)

I will say this: it's not his password, but if it is his password, it's all his passwords.

Josh in Chicago, Thursday, 22 October 2020 15:58 (five years ago)

honestly i am stunned that no one's hacked his Twitter yet

frogbs, Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:04 (five years ago)

a contractor or employee nuked his account iirc?

i had an old, not ever very active tumblr account with a hacked password i never bothered to change and last week i got one of those fake "we are going to send photos of you watching pr0n when your password was xxxxx if you don't send us exactly $1249 in bitcoin" emails so i logged into it to change the password and there were two logins from serbia and russia in the past month. i hope they had fun with my 6 posts and 8 followers.

superdeep borehole (harbl), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:08 (five years ago)

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 22, 2020

actually no

frogbs, Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:30 (five years ago)

How the raw 60 Minutes tape posted by Trump begins:

Stahl: You ready for tough questions?
Trump: Just be fair.
Stahl: Last time you were like bring it on.
Trump: "No, I'm not looking for that."
Stahl: "...But you're OK with some tough questions?"
Trump: "No, I'm not."

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:31 (five years ago)

there is a that danger sure, but there's only one thing we have in front of us right now, this election, my therapist is trying to teach me not to spend time thinking about things that aren't real and i'm trying to listen.

― Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, October 22, 2020 11:25 AM bookmarkflaglink

This is a v good lesson to learn. One of my therapists taught ne this and it has helped.

Ad gold for Biden's team, really.

i see we all have the same therapist

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:37 (five years ago)

xp in that same exchange at the very beginning, he also mumbles something about joe biden getting easy questions, and the way he says it is sooooo 5-years-old

xp
my therapist advises me to treat my depressed and cynical thoughts as a friend, which has been very helpful for me

president of my cat (Karl Malone), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:38 (five years ago)

i think the 60 minutes thing is neutralized, now. sure, he made it a big deal for no reason the last few days, he's "released the tape" this morning, all that. but that will be mostly forgotten this evening, when whatever dumb thing he does during the debate will become the new thing. when the actual 60 minutes segment is aired on sunday, whatever "news" is in there won't be news anymore, because now it's news for this morning.

president of my cat (Karl Malone), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:40 (five years ago)

He literally sounds terrible.

Josh in Chicago, Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:41 (five years ago)

mellon collie and the infinite bradness (BradNelson), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:42 (five years ago)

I can't believe that a human being could watch a video like that and think, 'this makes me look good, everyone should see it ASAP'.

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:45 (five years ago)

The hilarious thing about it is that even if the interview was disaster (by all accounts it wasn't so bad), his response is just making it so much worse for him. I think we are weirdly lucky that he is just so pathetically bad at all of this.

Mr. Cacciatore (Moodles), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:47 (five years ago)

It's like his perceptive bubble has finally and inevitably shrunk to within centimeters of his physical corpus. He cannot see beyond 'I am saying words right now so they must be amazing words that everyone will love'.

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:47 (five years ago)

people are still gonna watch 60 Minutes though

there's 2 weeks left until Election Day, the more time he wastes on petty bullshit the better

frogbs, Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:48 (five years ago)

Probably the 60 minutes edit would be more favorable for him. I bet they'd just lose the most embarrassing moments.

Mr. Cacciatore (Moodles), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:48 (five years ago)

The only thing disastrous about the portion of the interview I was able to stomach was his incessant defensiveness, his mewling woundedness wrt any question or comment that deters him from saying wholly reality-divorced shit about how wonderful he is. It just makes him look utterly insecure.

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:49 (five years ago)

I like how @KT_So_It_Goes has been framing his daily outburst in terms of the percentage of the remaining time he has before Nov 3.

excellent use of 8.33% of your remaining days sir https://t.co/0CB3YBpzZo

Mr. Cacciatore (Moodles), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:51 (five years ago)

That Stahl move is...not going to go well for him.

Yabbut if all you have is a base-only strategy, you have to double down on it.

fretless porpentine (Ye Mad Puffin), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:52 (five years ago)

I have a hunch the ratings for this Sunday’s 60 Minutes will be through the roof. Trump’s just given it a giant advertisement. The audience for broadcast television and the audience for Trump’s social media are not the same audience. Also I expect 60 Mins will be doing some extra reporting around the interview - will probably even talk about Trump releasing the footage, fold that into the story.

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:54 (five years ago)

It's just...as an interview of some random public figure, it's a pathetic portrait worthy of a few lols. As an interview of a president making an eleventh hour case for his reelection, it's...well, yeah, a disaster.

OrificeMax (Old Lunch), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:54 (five years ago)

Kudos to Trump for appealing to his base without expanding it 12 days before Election Day.

Patriotic Goiter (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 22 October 2020 16:56 (five years ago)

Yes and trumpoids will spin out the last week comparing the raw vs. edited footage, because SEE? MEDIA BIAS!!eleven!!!.

Great use of time, y'all. Golf clap.
