A maga 2020 password implies he's been changing it every couple years, at least, and if he's smart enough to do that, which is to say, the minimum, it seems unlikely that his password is that dumb.

i had an old, not ever very active tumblr account with a hacked password i never bothered to change and last week i got one of those fake "we are going to send photos of you watching pr0n when your password was xxxxx if you don't send us exactly $1249 in bitcoin" emails so i logged into it to change the password and there were two logins from serbia and russia in the past month. i hope they had fun with my 6 posts and 8 followers.

i think the 60 minutes thing is neutralized, now. sure, he made it a big deal for no reason the last few days, he's "released the tape" this morning, all that. but that will be mostly forgotten this evening, when whatever dumb thing he does during the debate will become the new thing. when the actual 60 minutes segment is aired on sunday, whatever "news" is in there won't be news anymore, because now it's news for this morning.

I can't believe that a human being could watch a video like that and think, 'this makes me look good, everyone should see it ASAP'.

The hilarious thing about it is that even if the interview was disaster (by all accounts it wasn't so bad), his response is just making it so much worse for him. I think we are weirdly lucky that he is just so pathetically bad at all of this.

It's like his perceptive bubble has finally and inevitably shrunk to within centimeters of his physical corpus. He cannot see beyond 'I am saying words right now so they must be amazing words that everyone will love'.

The only thing disastrous about the portion of the interview I was able to stomach was his incessant defensiveness, his mewling woundedness wrt any question or comment that deters him from saying wholly reality-divorced shit about how wonderful he is. It just makes him look utterly insecure.

Yabbut if all you have is a base-only strategy, you have to double down on it.

I have a hunch the ratings for this Sunday’s 60 Minutes will be through the roof. Trump’s just given it a giant advertisement. The audience for broadcast television and the audience for Trump’s social media are not the same audience. Also I expect 60 Mins will be doing some extra reporting around the interview - will probably even talk about Trump releasing the footage, fold that into the story.

It's just...as an interview of some random public figure, it's a pathetic portrait worthy of a few lols. As an interview of a president making an eleventh hour case for his reelection, it's...well, yeah, a disaster.

Kudos to Trump for appealing to his base without expanding it 12 days before Election Day.
