I can't even slag them off any more now we have another impressive Bielsa protegee leading a quiet revolution at our club, with Bielsa turning up at games when he can, and us signing impressive Spanish players that would probably ended up at Leeds if they hadn't gone up this season. It hurts me to say it, but I do like Leeds Utd under Bielsa,

After the two years of shit I've just witnessed I'll take being a Leeds Utd b-side (still with some residual German dna from the Wagner era) if performances continue to improve as they have done recently.

It's like you've already forgotten what Deems was like in full flow.

Thought it was a pretty absorbing game tbh, not at the level of the madness we've seen lately but there was some decent football in a finely balanced game between two emerging sides with highly technical managers. Admittedly I had some significant fantasy league skin in the game but also for real it's on a Monday night in the middle of a pandemic and the football has been a bright spot and an immensely fun distraction.

Likewise it was a strong night for my fantasy team too, which is what I'm concentrating on after a harrowing Saturday of irl football

Ordinary people talking about fantasy football is one thing.

But BBC commentators and pundits constantly talking about it, during coverage of actual football - dreadful.

I made a player who was in a notably good run of form my "triple captain", but they then missed a penalty or failed to achieve anything of note during the relevant game - how could this have happened?

Furthermore, I bet a moderate some of money on a particular outcome of a match. The outcome was at one point possible, but then changed due to one or more events in the game and I did not win any money

was watching on NBC last night and the sound effects either weren't there or were really muted. still think it's worse with no white noise at all tbh

It's quite good as you can hear all the players/managers swearing at each other all game

I don't get how the fake crowd noise in a visibly empty stadium is any less uncanny than just being able to hear what's really happening

they should just pipe through Google's microphone-snooping feed of every illegal streamer as they munch on prawn crackers and occasionally swear

The fake noise is dire and ridiculous.

I'm in favour of the crowd noise but they should probably consider adding canned laughter this season

I just can't get over thinking "wow, someone's actually choosing to play the sound of the home crowd whistling in fury because of a supposed dive by someone from the visitors... does that make sense or is the one guy controlling the audio just trolling rn?" Not particularly helpful thoughts when trying to enjoy a match tbh. It's probably me.

The EA FIFA in game oohs and ahs seem more convincing and better timed. There must be a way to hook up the game to real time football feeds.

Maybe replace all the banners with green screen as well and have a proper fake crowd with pies and phones and and guys waving to the screen instead of the camera.

As far as I can tell, despite six goals already this season, literally no one has any idea whether Patrick Bamford is a good player or not.

Bamfordowski certainly was good last night. Strikers mature and finishing is usually the last thing to stick.
