Reporter writing up that story knows that when you have anonymous informants feeding you juicy bits you want to cast them in the best possible light. Ergo, "grit mixed with resignation" instead of "hating to go to work each day knowing its going to be a bloodbath and desperately seeking for some way to protect their future careers by deflecting the blame to the president, who deserves it anyway."

Rasmussen...that seems very specious to me, that there are that many of them.

they're no more key to his lead than anyone else who also voted for clinton four years ago.

there's no reason to pay more attention to them than the (much bigger) groups of people who have changed from staying home to voting, or from obama to trump.

and there is no need to pander to them. they have no one else to vote for.
