No one expects Biden to step into office and single-handedly get rid of the electoral college. It's about consolidating power now so that democratic reforms are possible within the next decade.

The important takeaway from that Rasmussen poll isn't whether or not they're accurate (which I don't think most people believe them to be) but rather that AFAIK their polls tend to heavily favor the GOP. So when you factor that in these results indicate that Trump is likely in for a powerfisting come November.
