This is all Trump's own fault for getting so many tests.

Ok.
The biotechnology company Regeneron released a report earlier this week on its experimental coronavirus antibody cocktail, which the president is now taking to treat his symptoms.
CNN reports:
Regeneron released some early results of tests using its antibody cocktail in coronavirus patients Tuesday, and said it seemed to reduce levels of the virus and improve symptoms in patients.
The greatest improvements were seen in patients who hadnāt already mounted a natural response to the infection, the company said. ...
The treatment also showed positive trends at reducing medical visits for the patients, none of whom were sick enough to be hospitalized at the start of the trial, the company said.
Itās important to note the results only involved 275 patients, and the Regeneron data has not yet been peer-reviewed.

Consider. Once the virus has multiplied to the point of symptoms emerging the course of the disease is entirely a fight between the body's immune response and the virus' ability to spread into new host cells. All current treatments are simply attempts to ease the symptoms long enough for the patient's immune response to prevail. Trump is far enough advanced to show symptoms and he's very clearly a high risk individual, meaning his immune response can't be relied on to win that battle.
The monoclonal antibody treatment is still experimental, but it is the best available treatment that can directly boost immune response. They are jumping on it now because it is a binary yes-no decision and there is no virtue in waiting. The virus is already established and the sooner you act, the better the chance for the treatment to work.

in that bbc.co.uk story: the White House said, and was feeling "fatigued but in good spirits". yet I just watched Meadows in a statement to press, recorded earlier today, saying Trump was "very energetic". typical. can't both be true, so we are being lied to again.

I just had a flash of what it would look like for Trump to die while in office: the lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda, the Marine honor guard (none wearing masks, ofc), the horse-drawn caisson, all the solemn twaddle from media talking heads about a nation in shock and deep mourning.
The ritual pomp and dishonest eulogizing will be next to unendurable, but at least there would be other compensations.
