Lucky to live in one of the biggest left bastions in my metro area, so no Trump signs here yet... to give you an idea of the environment, the shithead racists known as the Proud Boys are holding a rally at the park where the farmers market takes place each Saturday, at the same time as the farmers market. The yapping swastikas are calling it 'The Belly of the Beast' rally.

here I think it's about equal between Trump & Biden (which is bad news for Trump, I think), but there is one big difference, the Trump signs I see are often HUGE and come with a giant flag, idk how much those cost but it's gotta be $100+ (the majority of which has got to be going directly into his pockets). I think that's just the difference in mindset, I wouldn't be caught dead displaying a giant obnoxious sign like that, even for the few politicians I really like. the only reason I can imagine doing it is if it was someone like AOC, just to annoy the shit out of my idiot neighbors, but even then I'd never actually buy one. so I kinda know exactly what all the giant Trump signs are about.

There's a neighbor around here who has had nary a Trump sign in sight on his yard - there are not really any Trump signs around here - but he does still have a Ben Carson bumper sticker on his car. I kind of want to know his deal. I mean, I don't. But still.

There was a few houses along the main drag in Bay City that had giant, clearly homemade Biden/Harris sings that were both clearly trying to compete with their neighbors that had those gigantic ass Trump signs and flags that frogbs notes.

I'm in a very blue neighborhood in a fairly blue city in a very red county, so I can count on Trump-signs-per-block increasing the farther I drive in almost any direction. Only a few in my own 'hood, and none on my block.

what's funny/maddening to me are these people who put up signs when they live like deep inside subdivisions or on cul de sacs and shit. my best friend was telling me the other day that one of his mom's new neighbor's first acts was to put up a big-ass Trump sign in their leafy, extremely lightly trafficked subdivision. like, how many people are even gonna see that fucking sign? at that point you really are just doing it to troll your own goddamn neighbors.

I drove by a house that had probably a dozen Trump signs including “Where’s Joe? Where Hunter?” The neighbor across the street had a sign for the Democratic candidate for village trustee so there is probably some element of trolling involved.

There are also lots of We Stand Against Racism And We Back the Blue signs.

In DC basically nobody has signs up except the ones left over from the Dem primary. And the vast majority of those are for city council contests.
