Ive never listens to Rogan’s podcast but apparently he never pushes back against anybody no matter which side of the aisle or how idiotic their rhetoric so obviously Trump would love him to moderate a debate

I've basically only listened to episodes with Brian Greene and a sleep scientist I forget the name of, but clip of him with Candace Owens talking about climate change was in my YouTube feed and I had to see if he pushed back on her bullshit. He did.

I managed to put my general distaste for Rogan aside when a clip of him tepidly pushing back on that fuckwit Dave Rubin was making the rounds. watching this grifter getting ever so mildly owned by a complete dullard like Rogan was admittedly kind of satisfying.

my neighbor just put up a Trump sign and I'm irrationally angry about it. we weren't exactly best friends but he was a fun guy to drink & watch sports with, plus he was exactly the sort of person you wanted at your poker table if you know what I mean. never talked politics, seemed kinda uninformed at general, but yeah idk if I wanna see this guy any more, which is awkward because he's still texting me and wanting to hang out (strange because I've told him a number of times we're not seeing anyone right now due to the pandemic he seems to be unaware of). I know that makes me the "intolerant" one and I know 63 million people voted Trump including a lot of people I know but fuck him, what little benefit of the doubt I've given people after 2016 upon seeing how insanely uninformed people are is all gone now, the only reason you can continue to support Trump now is because you love to piss off people like me or you think America should be free of people like my kids

I know we discussed this a lot in 2016 but this is part of why I fucking hate this guy so much. I've always had conservative friends who "don't follow politics" and yeah I thought it was shitty when people continued to support GWB but at least there was some flimsy justification for it..."he was mislead", "he was dealt a bad hand", "can't fault him for wanting everyone to have a home", with Trump it's just...nothing. it's the most indefensible political movement I've ever seen in my life and everyone who supports it is garbage.

I'm sure I've shared this at some point before, but the mention of W triggered a memory. I started my first job out of grad school in June of 2000 and, for the most part, I liked my boss pretty well despite some annoying quirks. Kinda had to, since when the office I worked in was opened, I was only the third employee. Anyway, my opinion changed when I got his 2000 Christmas card in the mail that featured his family huddled around their Bush 2000 yard sign with huge smiles on their faces.

Driving home from the grocery store today I saw a house with its US flag hanging upside down and a Biden/Harris flag flying beneath it, so...folks are not hiding their opinions.

My town always leans super liberal, so Biden/Harris signs outnumber the Trump signs probably 20:1 (hell, there are probably still more Bernie signs than Trump signs) and a lot of upside down flags appeared this year, so not helpful to judge around here at all.

As I mentioned, seeing Biden signs slightly outnumber Trump signs in the very conservative Bay City, Michigan was a tiny balm last week.

I mean, signs don't mean shit other than these people are fired up. My county is deep blue. Democrats here tend to think signs are vulgar or something. It is, however, enervating to see on my morning walks those MAGA flaps crisply flapping

we got one guy who has Trump signs with a swastika and spraypainted over it and another that says "Republican EmbaraSSment" with the Schutzstaffel logo over the SS. It's pretty striking.

Yeah I don't know that I've seen "Love Lives Here". We mostly get BLM and those "In this house we believe hate has no home, no human is illegal, science is real etc" signs.

I've been back and forth from the DC area to western PA while taking care of some family issues and not surprisingly Trumpmania is running wild there, more so than 4 years ago it seems.

Took my kid to play fall baseball Sunday to a white-flight suburb about half an hour outside the city. Listened to two Trump supporters in the bleachers, loudly:

Telling dumb Nancy Pelosi joke.

Crowing about their huge new Trump sign in their yard.

Planning their trip to an outstate Trump rally (because he talks to the American people better than any president ever has.)

Opining that Trump was "really chosen to lead in these times." She didn't say chosen by God, but that was the gist.

It was at item #4 that I gave them a huge death stare and moved to the other side of the ballfield.

Lucky to live in one of the biggest left bastions in my metro area, so no Trump signs here yet... to give you an idea of the environment, the shithead racists known as the Proud Boys are holding a rally at the park where the farmers market takes place each Saturday, at the same time as the farmers market. The yapping swastikas are calling it 'The Belly of the Beast' rally.

here I think it's about equal between Trump & Biden (which is bad news for Trump, I think), but there is one big difference, the Trump signs I see are often HUGE and come with a giant flag, idk how much those cost but it's gotta be $100+ (the majority of which has got to be going directly into his pockets). There's a neighbor around here who has had nary a Trump sign in sight on his yard - there are not really any Trump signs around here - but he does still have a Ben Carson bumper sticker on his car. I kind of want to know his deal. I mean, I don't. But still.

There was a few houses along the main drag in Bay City that had giant, clearly homemade Biden/Harris sings that were both clearly trying to compete with their neighbors that had those gigantic ass Trump signs and flags that frogbs notes.
