I have to say, even though he went into it like dumbass, the truck thing reminded me of all the cheesy photo-ops that presidents have to do, but you usually don't hear about outside of their designed audience because most presidents aren't hogs like Donald Trump.

I know the old yard signs thing is a fool's game for measuring much of anything, but I do have to admit to feeling slightly comforted by seeing more Biden signs than Trump signs when driving through Bay City, Michigan last week. I was taken aback. Four years ago, it was a veritable sea of Trump signs. There are still a number of Trump signs (those that had one MAGA sign usually had at least 5), but Biden seems to have the edge.

Trump, who has repeatedly sought to alter the debate schedule with Biden, on Monday expressed interest in a format that almost certainly will never happen: a four-hour event hosted by Joe Rogan, a comedian and mixed martial arts color commentator.

Tim Kennedy, a retired mixed martial arts fighter, noted on Twitter that Rogan was interested in hosting such a debate between Trump and Biden without a live audience.

“It would be four hours with no live audience. Just the two candidates, cameras, and their vision of how to move this country forward,” he tweeted. “Who wants this?”

I admit some bias here in that I find American TV debates completely unwatchable due to their absurd formats and literally anything else, no matter how odious, seems like a step up.

the obnoxious thing about Rogan is that when I sat down for lunch with some of my work friends (back when I went to work) one of 'em would say something like "you know I just think it's unfair that trans athletes can compete in the Olympics" and I'd immediately know that's what they were talking about on Rogan last week

he's kinda watchable in one-minute clips but his show is like 4 hours long, you'd have to be insane to sit through that

if there were any other similarly popular show that hosted long-form interviews with no commercials and had, yes, a similarly huge audience, I would 100% endorse that venue instead.
