I've never been to Teresa's!

When I was in NYC recently, I ate in a restaurant that struck me as the fanciest place I'd ever eaten in. It was kinda weird. I didn't think the food was all that great, though.

It was called Josephina's.

Is there still a Teresa's on Tompkins Square? (and is that the same people?)

The fried catfish sandwich I had at the Smoke Joint was unremarkable, but the cole slaw, which I usually avoid, was very good.

i heard something about a hot dog with slaw on top. never thought to do this, but it seems like a great idea!

i think i could talk food all day long.

those tacos make me dream of the fish taco i had at a roadside stand in maui. if they are 1/2 as good i will be very excited!

can i tell you i've never had a fish taco?

have you guys been to pequena in ft. greene? omg i love them. the space is tiny but the food oh so good

g00blar - i think the teresa's are connected, or were, and the one on 1st ave closed a little while ago.

i ate at paul's today. the number of bad reviews of paul's on yelp really threw me. i love paul's. today i had the 2nd avenue burger, with cheese, ham, grilled tomato and grilled onions.
always get the "cajun" fries.

just the idea of cajun fries is too much for me to handle

it's nothing special. just like.. fries with spices on them. they're just better than the steak fries, which are kind of bland and mushy usually.

i kind of don't want to go to this teresa's place because of the horrible misspelling. i know this is irrational.

i had a burger at paul's once. it was nothing spectacular.

surm, i don't know about blackened but i do know a recipe for this great cream sauce with riesling and capers that will make you melt.

pinche's fish tacos are really good but the secret weapon is the carnitas!! so delicious, whatever the hell they braise the pork in is magical.

ok i have to go to this place soon.

i wish time out's offices would move back to soho instead of the wasteland they currently occupy by the javitz center so i could eat delicious tacos on a more regular basis.

i have no lunch options. there is a caf in my building, but it is the size of my bedroom so not very many options. i will turn into a salad soon. maybe that is a good thing, though.

i need lunch around lincoln center. i think that is a lost cause, though.

midtown is generally a lost cause

yeah. that area is not even really midtown though. i mean, sort of. but really more upper west side-y. it's kind of horrible. just overpriced sit down places or really crap delis.

sometimes i walk down to col. circle for whole foods.

yeah i used to just do deli sammiches around there. there's a grays papaya nearish!

Yeah, I was gonna say the Whole Foods is the only place I tend to get lunch in that general vicinity. Best deal around there.

used to go to this one mexican food cart all the time until one time my burrito contained a piece of the cart :/

i go to that balducci's a lot. it is v v small. i get salads. occasionally a sandwich. it's not very exciting.
