The M4The M40
I really hate that bit of the M25, I can never remember which is which
― \\\\\\\\0||||0//////// (Matt #2), Friday, 28 August 2020 20:57 (five years ago)
One of the best things my old man's family do (they're sarf London, to the core) is drop the 'M' or 'A' from any discussion of car journeys (B roads don't get a mention). 'Yeah, yeah, well, I had to come up the free, join the twenny five and straight onto the facking fore - always get mixed up between that and the facking forety'. I could listen all day.
― Vanishing Point (Chinaski), Friday, 28 August 2020 21:05 (five years ago)
I also confuse the M40 and M4, related to this last month I dropped my wife off in Basingstoke, which I thought somehow was "on the way" from Cambridge to Stratford-upon-Avon, an overdue look at a map afterwards revealed the three places form an equilateral triangle.

Which one did the "dreamboat" song though? which one was on panel shows in the mid 60s and chummy with the beatles? which one died tragically early from cancer? I can find out these things, I cannot retain them.
― Anti-Cop Ponceortium (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Friday, 4 September 2020 19:46 (five years ago)
I can identify them in the context of their respective work but if they were part of a lineup I'm not sure I could tell the difference between Russell Hitchcock and Leo Sayer and John Panozzo and Ron Palillo and Richard Simmons and Slim Goodbody.

Yeah they are both new to my area and I haven't been to either one.
I vaguely know that one of them has hilariously on-point mimic packaging for its store-brand knockoffs. Like Mr. Pepper soda and Ireo cookies and Kepler Gnome cookies - I just can never remember which one that is.

Aldi used to sell biscuits called Disco Biscuits, but they have sadly been renamed.

The other day a friend mentioned Stevie Ray Vaughan in a context that really confused me until I realized I was actually thinking of Steve Vai.
