At this point Marco's almost assuredly a direct hit for nola. Hopefully Laura's westward drift last night doesn't reverse. I don't think the city's fragile pump systems can handle back-to-back storms.

Seems the storm surge wasn’t nearly as bad as the Weather Channel hoped it would be.

I didn't even see any reports of fatalities, but maybe it is too early?
