all the songs are linked by a certain kind of sound / feel, and recently somebody posted herbie hancock's tune "textures" as a youtube video itt

i can't remember what any of the other music was !

(anyway. Reading Rebus this morning and he was in greyfriars cemetery where they had mortsafes. Turned on TV to watch Bob Mortimer fishing and the 3 minutes of the previous programme was Alice Roberts digging in Birmingham and finding a mortsafe there too. I had not heard of them until this morning and then twice in just over an hour)

Within the last month or two someone posted about some sort of mesh system or wifi booster that was working really well for them and was several hundred dollars cheaper than Eero and the other big name ones. Don't see it in the stupid computer questions or working from home threads and not having success with Google searches. Anyone know where this one is? Thanks!

is there a good Ask a Lawyer (for non-binding advice!) thread? I am trying to advocate for someone who has been fucked, and it would be great to just ask a few basic questions

it's more of a "who can i write to about this? who will respond? will it help to have 10 people/advocates on a zoom call for the hearing? how can we let the judge know that this is not a run-of-the-mill case for the day, but one that will result in me yelling at people they know for fucking up if they delay this one more time? ok, only the first half of that last one

Where is that ILM thread that started out as "Hey everyone, let's all post a YouTube video of some cool music. I'll start." and the first post was so mind-blowingly awesome that everyone just kept talking about that one video for the rest of the thread? It was a bunch of musicians (from India I think?) performing a long drone thing.

Is there a thread for people who want to start making electronic music and have stupid n00b questions about what gear they need, recommendations for basic kit, etc?
