thing about these bands is, they all had to (probably still have to) go around telling all their friends and family and peers what the name of their new band was, and they stuck to their guns. for which they get some grudging respect from me

henry cow is technically one of these bands (they lied about their name) but they're too good for the rest of these jokers - I assume, having heard of none of them before this poll
