Weirdly enough he is not friends with any other ILX0rs, as far as I can tell. I am connected with him through a different route.

I saw some others music nerds posting it. So I did as well.

My source usually seems to be super reliable. He has a recent picture of him and Emitt and he produces lots and lots of reissues which presumably he was doing with him as well at some point.

Wow, hadn’t realized she was in that, and that film is part of my dreamscape. Was kind of shocked when I realized recently that Henry Brandon was in it playing essentially the same character as in Babes in Toyland. Did know that her feature film debut was as Judy Garland’s sister, I think. Also from watching that seems like almost the whole act I used to see at The Metropolitan Room was already in place way back when.

Quite the life she had: acted in the 1940s with Judy Garland, in the 50s was Kenny Clarke and then Lenny Bruce's lover, in the 60s kicked out of LH&R for heroin addiction, in the 70s dubbed Britt Eckland's voice in the Wicker Man, 80s: Basket Case 2 & 3. All this despite being Jimmy Logan's sister!

Just remembered that Henry Brandon was one of Judy Garland’s husbands for a minute or two, small world once again.

Is that true about The Wicker Man? Seems like only a rumor.

I was watching her in a weird 70s Hammer film just the other night, where she also sang the theme tune, "Straight On Till Morning". In fact I think it was on again tonight.

Never seen any say it's not true about Wicker Man. It's listed in imdb.

She did the speaking voice, not the song. Ekland is on record as being mad that they got two women to dub her and another be a body double.

Wow, never knew that either.

The body double was because she was visibly pregnant at the time, though.

I was thrilled that Annie Ross sat behind me at a MoMA screening of an Altman film (she was with Mrs Altman).
